I finally came around to commenting on this post. And my comment is...i don't have anything to say. The bulls just signed THT, and i don't give a fuck. Is it good for them, is it bad, whatever. Will they win, will they lose...whatever. Cooper Flagg....sure..why not...will he change the culture...i mean you'd have to be the next Jordan.....or Lebron as the kids say....

like damn...the kids?.....i was a kid when i joined this blog (or it's early iteration)...now i'm looking at kids, all of 18 years of age and younger, talking about how they vaguely remember derrick rose from when they were toddlers. Let that sink in. Derrick rose feels like yesterday to me, i remember the ozzie post that i still proclaim led to the lottery balls falling in our favor (and D'antoni pissing off the nba by screwing the bulls in such an oddly public way). But to people entering college he's some far off memory - some dream that their parents talk about every now and then. So yea - how are these nephews going to defend Jordan when they don't even know what derrick rose was.

20 years ago we felt we were right there, like the water heater worked...the pilot light was just out...just need a spark and we'll be good, just need a spark..

but we've had them, we've had several. We had the right coach, we had the right players (just never at once), we even changed the freakin front office finally - and nothings changed. We're still 20 years ago, all of us. we're still talking about the same roster issues, the same front office shortcomings, the same bemoaning of Reinsdorf.

So here's to tomorrow - because it's still yesterday - and nothing continues to happen today.

My rooting interests have taken on something of a universal and moralistic cast. Thus, I'm rooting for the Bulls to get the 11th pick. It punishes the Bulls, who deserve it; and it rewards the Spurs, who also deserve it.
