A little weird that after watching that shit show, Splitter zeroed in on Caleb Wilson. Like, if I told you Josh Giddey was the primary defender on Jalen Brunson, would anything else on the basketball court actually matter after that?

You could be a case where they feel Giddey is simply overmatched physically...but he has terrible 'body language' on top of that

My guess is that most of the vets feel like they’re on borrowed time here, so they’re just going through the motions.

This is where coaching is key. You need your players who know they’re not in the long-term plans to still try. Doesn’t seem like Splitter is consistently getting that out of them right now.

It’s another reason why lineup changes are necessary. Wanna pout, Giddey? Cool. Pout on the bench.

Players get discouraged if the guards can't bring the ball up the court, if the opponents anticipate your every move, and if the bigs get overpowered for rebounds. Maybe it's time to trade some prospects and 2nd round picks for some savvy and meaty veterans. However, I checked the Thunder's roster from five years ago and it appears they played through a miserable season with very little usage from veterans (but I didn't watch them then). The Bulls coaches and front office know best.

Splitter’s postgame comments likely reflect the fact that Wilson’s development is his top priority. That’s good!

But if that’s the case, it’s nonsensical to be averse to making lineup changes that might help Wilson out.
