You’ve been covering the Bulls for a long time-thanks for that! I imagine it hasn’t been that much fun since Joakim Noah got shunted aside in favor of that human turnstile, Pau Gasol.
I have a vision, a dream, a nightmare, of being forced to watch DeMar DeRozan draw clutch fouls and miss clutch fouls, forever, until the heat death of the universe melts us all down to atoms.
The heat death will not spare us. Quantum fluctuation will recreate all of us, this universe, and everything that has happened in it, down to the electron spin, so we will get to do this again and again, endless numbers of times and in endless variations, small and large, without end. At least, unlike DeMar, we will not be causing the existential despair, but will be judging it. Of course, there will be a universe in which Granvillator is hitting the pointless 2s for a meaningless win and DeMar is writing the hilarious comments...
And through it all, Bulls fans will constantly say they’re better than the Wizards because they will win more games (which is, of course, technically true).
I read a description yesterday of this team that seemed all too on the nose; They just have a very small margin for error. Everything must basically go right for them to win, which is not going to be the case often in the NBA. They're a very veteran team, tied for 13th oldest last season and with an aging core, and getting run around by younger teams. They're like the Lakers without the high top end talent. Lakers have 2 top 15 players, we have 3 35-60 ranked players. It's just a bad team and bad fits all around, and although they don't seem to hate each other, they're not very fun to watch outside Caruso

And Alex Caruso forcing the steal to set up the clutch DeMar shot, then tipping the offensive rebound off said missed FT. It's symbiotic.

Wizards site saying at least they’re not us

They were definitely even more dysfunctional than us for a long time. Not now though lolol
