there’s the backup big

Mere minutes after I posted our latest discussion thread (let’s keep that open for rumors) on day three of free agency, the Bulls just struck again.

They’ve signed center Tony Bradley, at reportedly a minimum deal for one guaranteed year and a 2nd year player option.

Bradley is still only 23, and finished last season with the Oklahoma City Money Launderers who didn’t extend a qualifying offer making him an unrestricted free agent. Before that he was on legitimate NBA teams in Utah (#28 pick in 2017) and Philadelphia.

You may recall his Sixers stint as his (probably) career-best game was helping demolish the Bulls while filling in for an injured Joel Embiid (via):

The Bulls lost their backup centers off the roster, so Bradley is likely second in line behind Nikola Vucevic. But I suppose at his age he could also be on a developmental track and they could still sign a veteran in that role.
