looking pretty dire...

NBA: Chicago Bulls at Atlanta Hawks Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

Getting this one up early.

It’s not looking good for our Bulls. Loss last night and the Wiz taking care of business (imagine that!) put Chicago 3 games back for the 10th spot (though only 3.5 games back from 9th as the Pacers are not doing to hot themselves).

If they do the double-loss again tonight (Wiz are in Dallas), even I will give up this race...probably.

The Hawks also played last night and were waxed by the Sixers. But they have Trey Young back. Maybe we’ll see an embarrassment like opening night and write the story that there’s been zero progress all season, great stuff.

Injury Report:

I’m not completely sure what’s going on with Zach LaVine’s return but am sure he’s not playing tonight. Troy Brown also remains out.

Lauri Markkanen was out last night due to a non-Covid illness (sauces say it could have been a vaccine reaction). He is questionable tonight. Potentially looming much larger is that Nikola Vucevic is also questionable with an abductor injury. He was also listed with this yesterday and played, though put in a miserable performance.

For the Hawks, no Cam Reddish or DeAndre Hunter. Kevin Huerter and Bogdan Bogdanovic are both questionable after missing last night’s contest.

Game Time: 7pm, NBC Sports Chicago
