The second half of the Bulls schedule is out. NBCSportsChicago has compiled the NBA’s release:
With the first half of the season wrapping up on March 4, followed by an All-Star break from March 5-10 the NBA second half of its schedule runs from March 11 to May 16.
The Bulls are still under .500 but very much in the thick of it after this stretch of fine play leading into another winnable game tonight against the TWolves:
the Bulls own the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference. With a record of 14-16 — not gaudy, but the best through 30 games since the start of the rebuild — they rest just 1.5 games back of the fourth seed, and 1.5 games ahead of 11th (the first spot out of this season’s play-in tournament, in which seed Nos. 7-10 will participate).
Indeed, the East has never been East-ier. With most everyone in the hunt, and seven teams within three games of .500 in either direction, the 37-game stretch run of this truncated 2020-21 season will be crucial for a young team thirsty for postseason play.
I’ll have to be on the lookout for the strength of schedule analysis.
One quirk is that 2 games are headed to ESPN (4/28 against the Knicks, 5/7 against the Celtics) but no TNT bumps.
