NBA: Chicago Bulls at Minnesota Timberwolves Jesse Johnson-USA TODAY Sports

One keeps hearing about how tough the Bulls schedule is gonna get...but it isn’t happening too soon.

Three games in the next four nights, but they’re against the Kings, Cavaliers, and tonight’s matchup versus the Minnesota Timberwolves.

They stink! They did just get Karl-Anthony Towns back from injury, but have lost the last 3 games he was in and are on an overall 6 game losing streak.

The Bulls, well they may also stink but in general play with a base competitiveness and effort (something Boylen has said he isn’t responsible for) and do a wacky intense defense that can trip up bad teams into a lot of turnovers. And the Wolves are particularly weak at the point guard spot after a bit of a headscratching trade of Jeff Teague for Allen Crabbe. Now not only is their starting PG still Shabazz Napier, but they a two-way guy backing him up who is even shorter.

So I expect the guys to battle, have some spurts, maybe give up some spurts, a tweet about Zach LaVine reaching 20 points, and a completely uninspiring Bulls win. And even if they lose, they will probably win a quarter or something and bring pride to everyone. But will I watch to find out? that’s the true mystery...
