Chandler Hutchison out of offseason workouts after suffering hamstring strain

no timetable

NBA: Los Angeles Clippers at Chicago Bulls Mike DiNovo-USA TODAY Sports

Training camp isn’t for a couple weeks, but the Bulls already have their first (second?) injury, as Chandler Hutchison suffered a hamstring strain Wednesday “while working out”. There’s no timetable.

It’s not clear if Hutchison suffered that injury while IN OUR BUILDING. The Bulls put out some workout porn on their official site Wednesday, but Hutchison isn’t in any of the photos. Maybe he was already out. Or he ::shudder:: was not in our building, and thus John Paxson was right!

It’s also yet to be known whether Jim Boylen (reminder, he’s still the coach and they even signed him to an extension, good god) played Hutchison through 40 minutes of a scrimmage after the injury and then told everyone he was ‘proud’ of Hutch’s grit or whatever.

You could say this is a critical loss for the Bulls as they don’t have a lot of depth on the wing, and though we’re approximately 25 days from the annual “Don’t Forget about Denzel Valentine” article barrage, I don’t think he is working out yet either.

But on the other hand, you could say Hutch hasn’t shown to be any good even before getting hurt. And who am I to say what you could say?
