Zach LaVine (thigh contusion and right knee tendinitis) and Otto Porter Jr. (shoulder injury) are out tonight. Kris Dunn is listed as doubtful with a back injury.
For the Knicks, Emmanuel Mudiay will miss the final two games of the season with a left shoulder injury and former Bull Noah Vonleh won’t play because of an ankle injury. Lance Thomas will miss the game for personal reasons.
Former DePaul Blue Demon star Billy Garrett Jr. will play tonight for the New York Knicks. This will be his third NBA game after spending the majority of his professional career with the Westchester Knicks of the NBA G League.
It’s all almost over. Another year done, and the second-straight year of no playoffs for the Bulls, the first time that has happened since the 2003 and 2004 seasons.
The Bulls, who are locked into the fourth-worst record in the NBA, have...something...to play for tonight.
The Bulls have tied franchise record for futility with their 31st home loss, set in 2000-01. (Covered that season too. Yikes.) They’ll need to beat Knicks on Tuesday to match that season’s 10-31 home mark or else set new record for futility with 9-32 mark.— K.C. Johnson (@KCJHoop) April 7, 2019
The Knicks also have a ton to play for. They need to win both of their remaining two games to avoid posting their worst record in franchise history (17 wins in 2014-2015). They are locked into a top three crappiest record in the NBA, so they have nothing to lose by winning at this point.
