The Bulls are back and they’re as trash as ever. Coming off a 116-108 defeat that wasn’t nearly that close to Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat on Friday night, the Bulls face the Hornets on Saturday evening in Charlotte. Jim Boylen’s team has lost four of its last five and enter the game tied for the league’s fifth-lowest winning percentage.
Otto Porter Jr. and Luke Kornet remain out for the Bulls, while Chandler Hutchison is doubtful. Expect lots of Shaq Harrison, who has been a pleasant surprise in his two games since joining the starting lineup. Harrison was the only Bulls starter to finish with a positive plus-minus in the loss to Miami on Friday.
The Hornets are also on a back-to-back and enter as losers of three straight, including a loss to the Wizards last night. Charlotte doesn’t have a player listed on the injury report coming into the game.
I’ve already written stories on Devonte’ Graham and P.J. Washington this year (linked above), two former college stars who are opening eyes in the NBA this season. Also be sure to read James Dator on Charlotte’s surprising start.
Game starts at 6 p.m. local time.
