Chicago Bulls vs. New Orleans Pelicans

7:00 P.M.

NBC Sports Chicago and ESPN

Injury Report and lineups:

For the Bulls, Wendell Carter has ‘a chance’ to play ‘a few minutes’. Nope, he’s out. Luke Kornet’s Bulls debut is probable. Hutchison and Harrison still out.

Tomas Satoransky is getting the spin on the Bulls starting PG wheel tonight. For some reason Cristiano Felicio is also starting.

The Pelicans look to have their main guys (including Zion Williamson) available, but they will likely play limited minutes.

Preview:

For one game at least (and it was the first preseason game against a team holding out most of their best players) the Chicago Bulls fielded a modern NBA offense.

Good job Jim keep it up.

But beyond that, it’s all about Zion Williamson.

According to Darnell Mayberry of The Athletic, freaking 11 of the 16 questions Coby White fielded were about Zion. He played one full game against White’s North Carolina last year. They played against each other dating back to high school but still.

Low key though, the Pelicans won’t be good this season but they should at least be fun. Bulls fans know all about how brutal bad and boring can be. As long as Zion stays healthy, the Pelicans will at worst be bad and entertaining.

Lonzo Ball is still looking for traction and looking to shake off the injury bug after going No. 2 overall three drafts ago. His game is fun to watch and there’s rumblings that he 1). may have figured out that jump shot (at least for one game) and 2). has budding chemistry with Zion.

The Bulls old buddy E’Twaun Moore continues to be rock solid for the Pelicans. In an NBA world full of elite and very good point guards, he probably isn’t either but he’s a good player that could be helping the Bulls right now. I guess adding Tomas Satoransky should finally end Bulls fans longing for Moore to come back though right?

The Stat:

The Pelicans have five former top three picks on their roster————Zion, Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, Derrick Favors, and Jahlil Okafor.

The Quote:

Yo! In my preview for the game against the Bucks, I wondered whether the Lopez brothers would continue to talk crap about each other now that they are on the same team.

They didn’t disappoint.

More Robin: it was a match made in basketball heaven that ended too soon.

We finally know who Ryan Arcidiacono beat to win the Chicago Bulls 1-on-1 tournament (start watching at around the 12:30 mark).

The fact that Arcidiacono beat Zach LaVine (arguably the Bulls best player) in the championship game while wearing a rec league looking headband isn’t front page news for every media outlet is a travesty. Another reason BaB.com is the best is we give you the most important news and lead with it in the preview of a preseason game.

You are welcome ladies and gentlemen.
