Enjoy NBA Summer League while you still can.
Soon it’ll be over, and all the basketball stans on Twitter will complain about two months of no basketball. The Bulls are guaranteed at least one more game of basketball, and that is cause to celebrate.
That game goes down at 3 p.m. CT on Saturday on NBA TV against the Detroit Pistons. I’ll be working at a golf course and probably will listen to the Cubs on the radio, meaning I’ll rely on the Twitterverse to tell me how well Wendell Carter Jr. is playing. I’m just going to assume he’ll rock it like he has all summer.
It’s crunch season. Tournament time. The Bulls found their way into the winner’s bracket with a 95-83 win against a Luka Doncic-less and Dennis Smith-less Dallas Mavericks squad. And here’s what the bracket looks like right now.
The Bulls’ 2016 NBA Summer League championship was a sacred event in Chicago. It would mean so much to the city if they bring home the title again.
