It is NBA Draft Lottery time, the day where our happiness is determined by ping pong balls...and mock drafts finally become more usable because we have an order for the June 21 NBA draft.
Here’s what you need to know for the big night.
2018 NBA Draft Lottery: 6:30 p.m., ESPN
The Bulls have a 5.3 percent chance of sneaking in there for the No. 1 overall pick and an 18.3 percent chance of landing in the top three. There’s a 77 percent chance that the Bulls pick either sixth or seventh. They have a 4.5 percent chance of falling to the eighth spot and a 0.5 percent chance of falling to No. 9.
Bulls President and Chief Operating Officer Michael Reinsdorf will represent the team. In the back room witnessing the actual drawing will be another Reinsdorf, grandson Joey, who’s been given credit for the Bulls hosting the 2020 All-Star game.
Get ready to be inundated all day with reminders about what happened in 2008 when the Bulls defied 1.7 percent odds to snag the No. 1 pick which they would later use on some guy named Derrick Rose.
Will history repeat itself?
Bulls fans can only hope.
