The Chicago Bulls are in the process of making changes to the coaching staff at both the NBA and G-League levels according to a report.
It’s extremely minor, and not much to do with Fred Hoiberg, so curb your enthusiasm.
Bulls have weighed minor staff changes. Expect Charlie Henry to take over as Windy City coach, Nate Loenser to shift to Fred Hoiberg's staff— Cody Westerlund (@CodyWesterlund) August 30, 2017
Henry was hired as part of Hoiberg’s initial coaching staff. Loenser was the Bulls video coordinator in that ‘15-’16 season, where he developed scouting reports on opponents, updated and maintained the Bulls offensive and defensive playbooks, and assisted with player development. He then became the Windy City Bulls head coach for their inaugural season.
Of course, the Iowa State connections run deep with both coaches.
Loesner grew up in Cedar Falls, Iowa and was the Director of Player Development and part of the Iowa State coaching staff for two seasons. He also worked for former Iowa State head coach Larry Eustachy as an assistant coach at Southern Mississippi from 2003-2009.
Henry was an assistant coach at Iowa State from 2014-2015 and the Director of Player Development at that institution from 2013-2014.
