The NBA put out its list of jersey/merch sales from NBAStore.com today, and in no surprise the Bulls came out really well. The Warriors and Cavaliers are first and second, respectively, in team merchandise sales, and then there’s your Chicago Bulls coming in at No. 3.
Playing a key role in this placement are the strong jersey sales of Jimmy Butler and Dwyane Wade. Butler comes in at No. 8 on the list, even ahead of James Harden, while Wade is at No. 11 right behind Harden and ahead of Derrick Rose.
The most recent reveal of this list came back in January. The Bulls were fourth overall then, with Wade coming in sixth and Butler ninth in jersey sales. This is the highest Butler has ever been.
So while the Bulls may be average as hell when it comes to real basketball, they’re elite at selling stuff. Gar’s plan is working!
