The Bulls are now 8th in the East after losing a winnable game to the Pistons on Monday (in my preview on Monday I wrote the standings wouldn't be effected. I was wrong. One day I'll understand the tie-breakers, I promise.) With the Heat steadily gaining ground, it is a real possibility this Bulls team misses the playoffs for the second season in a row. It doesn't really seem like anyone on the team is concerned by that.

Tonight the Bulls face Eastern Conference bottom feeder the Orlando Magic. Similar to the Bulls, the Magic have also been playing well in the first 36 minutes only to blow games with poor fourth quarters. They last played on Monday when they allowed the Knicks to go on a 22-4 tear in the 4th and stumbled their way to their 41st loss. The Magic have some interesting guys, some with interesting hair (Elfrid Payton?), and given their struggles in 4th quarters this game may have a "war of attrition" feel in the closing minutes.

The Bulls won the last matchup between these teams on January 24, 100-92.
