Chicago Bulls 2016 schedule released

New, comments

The Bulls will go up against some familiar faces in Rose, Noah, Pau, Dunleavy and Thibs

Tom Szczerbowski-USA TODAY Sports

The Bulls schedule for the 2016-17 season has officially been released.

There have been a few unofficial scheduling leaks over the past couple of weeks on Twitter. However we now get our first real look. For most fans, the most interesting story-line of the season will be the Spencer Dinwiddie revenge game against Detroit! Eh, probably not, though Detroit should be a fun matchup. With no shade to Dinwiddie, of course most fans will be interested in the Rose/Noah return to the UC (11/4), Thibs' return (12/3), and Wade's return to Miami (11/10).

Other notable dates are the Bulls first game against NBA champ Cleveland Cavaliers (12/2) and the first up-close look against the new super-duper Golden State Warriors (2/8, in Oakland). Of course, a date always of note, will be the start/end of the "Circus Trip".

The Bulls will start the season Thursday, 10/27 at home against the Celtics. Also of note is a Christmas-day tilt against Pau Gasol's San Antonio Spurs.

There will be much more analysis on the schedule to come. For now, what are your initial thoughts?
