With their second-rounder, the #48 pick overall, the Bulls take 6'8" SF Paul Zipser of Bayern Muenchen. Bayern, sharing a name with world-famous soccer club, plays in Germany's top league as well as the Euroleague. Zipser also played alongside Dirk Nowitzki for team Germany in 2015 Eurobasket.
Zipser is 22 years old, and played significant minutes in the second-best league in the world, so this could be potentially someone who can contribute soon. We'll have to learn of his contract status and the possibility of the Bulls actually bringing him over to the NBA. Jonathan Givony of Draft Express reports that Zipser should be here this season.
The Bulls have had some hits drafting internationally in the past, as their scout in that department Ivica Dukan has been at this a long time and helped find Bulls like Toni Kukoc, Omer Asik, and Nikola Mirotic. At least they didn't go the obvious Gar Forman route and take Georges Niang?
Zipser joins Denzel Valentine as Bulls draftees in 2016. That should be it for them tonight.
