The NBA Draft Combine is currently going on in Chicago, and Jimmy Butler was pictured sitting next to Bulls head coach Fred Hoiberg at the event.
We all know Butler hasn't had the best couple of weeks with the Bulls brass. He reportedly took exception to the comments about him being on the table when it comes to trade offers. So seeing him acting all friendly with Hoiberg and the FO could be a sign that they have made up, and all is well in the world of Gar Forman and John Paxson.
According to K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune, Hoiberg knows the importance of being on the same page as Butler.
"Just spending time with Jimmy outside of basketball is good. It's obviously a very important summer for all of us. And I plan on spending more time with him."
Butler is also slated to represent the Bulls in the NBA Draft Lottery on May 17th. So now that he and the FO look to be cordial again, does that mean we can put the Butler trade rumors to rest? Not exactly but you'd figure it does decrease the chances of it happening.
In terms of Bulls draft news, they interviewed Providence guard Kris Dunn and Washington forward Marquese Chriss. They haven't interviewed Notre Dame point guard Demetrius Jackson yet although they are expected to do so as per Cody Westerlund of CBS Sports.
