Remember when the season was saved?
Coach Fred Hoiberg said Jimmy Butler developed swelling in his left knee and back soreness and won't play Monday versus the Bucks. Butler had returned Saturday after missing 11 games to his left knee injury.
Hoiberg said Butler would be re-evaluated by team doctors and no timeline for his latest absence has been set.
A couple interesting notes as to the timeline and severity of this. First, that Hoiberg said after practice yesterday that Butler was fine, but he actually wasn't. Those Hoiberg practices, they're too good!
And then this:
They also made it public he wouldn't be on one when asked. Said doctors were comfortable with knee. Hmmm. https://t.co/F8CCYpxVCk— K.C. Johnson (@KCJHoop) March 8, 2016
In other news, Taj Gibson is going to play after dealing with hamstring soreness following Saturday's game. Because you know there's a guy who would never play through an injury, nope...
