Jimmy Butler reportedly returning against Rockets on Saturday

the season is saved!

Hopefully the profuse bleeding can stop now, because it looks like Jimmy Butler is returning to action.

First reported last night by Vincent Goodwill of CSN Chicago, Butler's return is slated for Saturday night's game against the Houston Rockets. Butler went through practice Friday morning and was his usual (fairly corny) self:

Asked if he'll suit up Saturday night against the Rockets, the Bulls All-Star guard replied: "I do not know. It's a good question."

But he seemed to answer the question in another way.

"My only concern right now," he said, "is to go get a haircut. I really want to look good for tomorrow night."

Fred Hoiberg offered the obvious caveat of how Butler's knee responded to today's practice, which I'm sure was wildly successful.

Butler's missed 11 games since the injury (likely a culmination of overuse and prior injury), and was given a 3-4 week timeline for recovery shortly after. Saturday would mark a day over four weeks since the injury occurred in Denver. The Bulls went 3-9 in that time.

Unfortunately, Taj Gibson didn't practice with his sore hamstring so he's likely doubtful for tomorrow. Jimmy's first game back may see him a lot at power forward.
