I just think this is great.
On Monday afternoon the story surrounding the Bulls was an Easter meeting, that both Fred Hoiberg and Mike Dunleavy discussed with the media.
"That was a big part of what (Sunday) was about, hopefully airing some things out," Hoiberg said. "You have to have honest communication where things aren't taken personal. I thought it was a productive day."
...
Neither Hoiberg nor Dunleavy revealed specifics of the meeting. But Dunleavy said it never got heated, calling it "just team dialogue, people being open and expressing their opinions and beliefs and getting things off their chest."
Of course, the meeting wasn't some magic elixir and they lost again, but hilariously enough Derrick Rose tried to deny the meeting happened, as reported by Cody Westerlund of 670AM.
he was asked postgame what his biggest takeaway was from Sunday’s rather ballyhooed team meeting that was held to clear the air.
"Who said we had a meeting?" Rose responded.
"Fred," he was told.
"I don’t know, it is what it is," Rose said.
Here's the video, at the 1:35 mark.
The Bulls interdepartmental communication still has issues, it seems.
