[Another game previewer bailed, so just the bare bones again for this one...]
As much as I think the Bulls are a mess, the Miami Heat are in a similar situation. They had an even more home-heavy early schedule than the Bulls, and have been paying through that and a similar injury bug.
The Heat are currently in a 3-way tie with the Celtics and Pistons as the 6th seed in the conference. They're losers of 4 straight and 7 of their last 8. And it hasn't been even close, the only margin of defeat under 10 was an 8-point loss to the Warriors.
They will be missing a couple key players tonight in Goran Dragic and Hassan Whiteside. Whiteside in particular gave Bulls fans nightmares with his offensive rebounding so it'll be great news to skip him in this game. They are reportedly expecting Beno Udrih back, which isn't the hugest deal except without Dragic they're very thin at PG.
Speaking of a thin guard rotation, the Bulls will be without Kirk Hinrich and E'Twaun Moore, that latter hurting himself in that Cavaliers win over the weekend.
I'm not going into the 'this is Bulls so maybe they lose maybe not!' thing. They're an above-average team that relies on streaky one-way players, shoots from high-variance spots, and has holes in their defense so they'll always be up-and-down. They're not a magical unicorn of a team when it comes to inconsistency. Damnit I guess I did just go into it.
