UPDATE: Woj says Boylen has accepted the job. KC says Adrian Griffin might join Scott Skiles's staff in Orlando.
Thought this should get some notice:
The Bulls have received permission from the Spurs to speak to Boylen, league sources said. Chicago has expressed a willingness to discuss the title of associate head coach, league sources said.
Boylen is the second assistant on coach Gregg Popovich’s staff behind Ettore Messina. Boylen was recently appointed to an assistant coaching role on the Canadian national team.
The Spurs are fond of Boylen and appear determined to keep him, sources said.
Note this is former Utah Utes coach Jim Boylen, not former Bulls coach Jim Boylan!
