Nate Robinson has been out of the NBA since Jan. 14 after agreeing to a buyout with a the Boston Celtics. He's been waiting for an opportunity to re-enter the league, and he might have found one with Derrick Rose's latest knee injury.
The Bulls have reportedly had "exploratory conversations" with Robinson, and the 30-year-old point guard is said to have a "strong desire" to return to Chicago, according to Real GM. The Bulls have had an open roster spot all season. Could Nate really be on his way back?
I expect this to be a polarizing discussion among the team and the fanbase. Robinson had some incredible highs here. His Game 4 effort against the Nets remains one of the most brilliant individual performances I can remember out of a Chicago athlete. Robinson was a free agent at the end of the 2013 playoffs and signed a two-year deal with the Nuggets. There were reports that Tom Thibodeau didn't really want him back.
A lot has happened since then. Robinson tore his ACL in Jan. of 2014 and struggled to find playing time when he returned to Denver. His fit in Chicago would seem to be based on whether or not Derrick Rose is going to play again this season. At this point, that seems totally up in the air until Rose has surgery.
So, do you want Nate Rob in back your life? Let's take a poll:
