Nikola Mirotic in the Rising Stars Challenge at All-Star weekend

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

Nikola Mirotic may have hit a bit of a wall lately, but as a strong performer over in the first half of the season he was invited to play in the Rising Stars Challenge tonight.

Formerly a rookie-sophomore game (and I think just rookie game before that?), Friday  night's event is now a game with both first and second-year players divided up by their country of origin. Being from Montenegro, Mirotic is on the 'World' team.

World Team Roster

Giannis Antetokounmpo (Bucks)
Bojan Bogdanovic (Nets)
Matthew Dellavedova (Cavaliers)
Gorgui Dieng (Timberwolves)
Dante Exum (Jazz)
Rudy Gobert (Jazz)
Nikola Mirotic (Bulls)
Kostas Papanikolaou (Rockets)
Dennis Schroder (Hawks)
Andrew Wiggins (Timberwolves)

U.S. Team Roster

Trey Burke (Jazz)
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (Pistons)
Robert Covington (76ers)
Zach LaVine (Timberwolves)
Shabazz Muhammad (Timberwolves)
Nerlens Noel (76ers)
Victor Oladipo (Magic)
Elfrid Payton (Magic)
Mason Plumlee (Nets)
Cody Zeller (Hornets)

[Yeesh, Tony Snell could've potentially made this U.S. squad if they announced it today]
