Tom Thibodeau said Friday afternoon that Joakim Noah (plantar fasciitis) and Marco Belinelli (abdominal strain) are game-time decisions for Saturday's matinee against the Mavericks. However, K.C. Johnson inferred from Thibs' comments that the duo will likely sit out once again, as the Bulls' headmaster emphasized "cleaning up health issues" so the injuries didn't linger.
I find this approach especially encouraging, especially since we've been so hard on Thibs and the training staff for letting guys just push through injuries rather than having them sit and heal. With the playoffs just around the corner, it would be nice to have a full complement of healthy players (and *cough* Derrick Rose *cough*) at Thibs' disposal.
Furthermore, the Bulls have done just fine the last few games without Noah and Belinelli. Obviously the Bulls need a guy like Noah in the long-term, but for the short-term, the current group has shown that they can have some success.
