Joakim Noah injury: Noah vows to play through the pain, may skip All-Star Game

all that matters, yo.

In case you forgot, Joakim Noah missed 3 games recently with issues from plantar fasciitis, and in his two games back has not looked fully capable. He has technically looked better from one game to the next, though.

After Friday's win, Noah admitted the obvious, that he wasn't fully healthy:

"There's really not that much you can do right now," he said, as he iced the foot in a huge bucket. "I just want to keep getting all the treatments, and I want to be out there on the court for my teammates."

Noah's presence has helped the Bulls, but is it actually hurting his ability to contribute later in the season? He admitted that he does not want to miss any more games at the moment.

"I really don't want to," he said. "I really don't want to. I know I didn't play a lot of minutes in the Denver game but it didn't get any worse from [Thursday]. So we'll see how it feels [Saturday], and hopefully I'm all right."

So how did it feel Saturday during the Bulls day off?

"I'm feeling pretty good," Noah said, after first answering affirmatively when asked if plantar fasciitis still bothered him. "I'm happy we have a couple of days of rest. I'm trying to get my foot right and get all the treatment possible. I'm hoping I can play through this and it improves even though I'm playing."

Since then, Noah hasn't fully practiced but 'believes' he will play Monday night. Thibodeau also said stuff, but who gives a flying fuck with that dude when it comes to injuries.

There has also been talk over the weekend that Noah may wind up skipping participation in this weekend's All-Star game, which would be a total bummer for everyone. I know it's technically ridiculous, but I'd almost rather see Noah play a few minutes in the ASG than in that back-to-back last weekend.

In other injury news: Kirk Hinrich is currently trapped down in a well, so we'll see when he returns.
