Pistons vs. Bulls final score: Miserable second half sinks Bulls

The Chicago Bulls did not have Luol Deng on Saturday night against the Detroit Pistons. This was a problem. The Bulls' offense sank in the second half without Deng's reliable shot creation and shot making, and the result was a lopsided 92-75 Detroit win at the United Center.

The Bulls were outscored 24-9 in the third quarter, finishing the period 4-for-20 with seven turnovers. It was a microcosm of their inability to muster offense in the halfcourt all season when they don't hit three-pointers, which was exactly the case on Saturday. While Detroit went 12-for-18 from three-point range (66.7percent), the Bulls finished 3-of-18 from three. Sometimes it's that easy.

Brandon Jennings torched Bulls guards, particularly Kirk Hinrich, all night. Jennings finished with 33 points and five assists. MEANWHILE, The Craptain went 1-for-10 from the field and 1-of-7 from three with five turnovers and four assists.

To be fair to Hinrich, he wasn't the only starter who was awful tonight. Fresh off his inspirational effort vs. the Heat, Joakim Noah went 1-of-7 from the field for two points, nine rebounds and four blocks. It took Carlos Boozer 16 shots (four makes!) to score 13 points. Taj Gibson (21 points, 10 rebounds) and Mike Dunleavy (16 points) were both very good, but it wasn't enough.

The Pistons move to 10-10 with the win, the Bulls drop to 8-10 with the loss. Next up for the Bulls is a Tuesday game against the Bucks.
