Since the 'minor' hamstring strain on Monday, Derrick Rose hasn't practiced this week at all. And the news on Friday morning suggests he won't play against Toronto.

So that stinks, and lingers as a reminder of the 2011-12 season which had Rose sidelined with a variety of minor ailments (accompanied by Thibs annoying us with his prognoses) all year before the big kneesplosion occurred.

Rose didn't even get an MRI to diagnose this injury, which hopefully suggests that is indeed a big nothing and not gross incompetence by the training staff. I know, you guys, but the reason can't always be gross incompetence.

Another indicator that this is indeed minor is that Derrick himself said he would have played if the game was Thursday. Derrick Rose sometimes just says stuff. As an example, though the Bulls play again on Saturday night, Rose claimed he didn't know that.
