It's official and straight from the source: the 2012 NBA Playoffs start like poop. The Bulls have announced that Derrick Rose is done for the remainder of the 2011-12 postseason after tearing his ACL in Game One of the Bulls' first round series with the 76ers:
Breaking news: Bulls guard Derrick Rose tore his Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) and he is out for the remainder of the season.

This also means a lot more John Lucas III and no Olympics for Rose:
Gotta feel for DRose, who stands for a lot of what's right about NBA. This means no Olympics for him too.

There are varying possibilities as to the extent of the tear and there's no official word on cartilage damage, so a timetable for rehabilitation -- let alone recovery -- is a complete guessing game at the moment.
The reigning MVP sustained the injury landing awkwardly on a jump-step toward the end of the blowout.
I'm stunned. Just stunned.
