Some notes from some Bulls over the past few days.
- Derrick Rose was with Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul, Kevin Durant and others in some barnstorming exhibition in the Philippines. Here's a video of his alley-oop finish from a Bryant lob. In this nice highlight package lifted from the comments, it looks like the locals enjoyed themselves (as did Rose).
- In slightly more troubling news, Joakim Noah was sent home from France as his sprained ankle (from March) kept him from passing his physical to play for their national team. I'm with Bulls Confidential in that it's just a bit annoying of a story given past questions of Noah's work ethic (yet in combination his extreme competitiveness), and the Bulls medical staff. Not nearly enough information to cast blame anywhere, but its stinks that the situation exists at all. (7/25 Update: Apparently Noah shall return to France fairly soon for the tournament)
- Meanwhile, Bulls draftee and future hall-of-famer Nikola Mirotic completed his dominant run in the U20 European Championships with a gold medal and the MVP.
