Humble-bot and robo-coach (we'll work on that second one) were in midseason form as the doors of the Berto Center opened on Thursday. Everybody's great, they can only get better, etc.
You know it's a love fest when Thibodeau says about Carlos Boozer: "After reviewing the films, I'll say this, that he was much better defensively than he was given credit for." The guy watches a LOT of film, I guess.
With the obvious question being shooting guard, and not really being able (or in Rose's case, exactly proper) to speculate on additions, both Thibodeau and Rose seemed eager to bring Keith Bogans back. Rose, naturally, looked towards himself only as reason for the Bulls playoff exit, and promised improvement with a championship goal in mind.
Rose also said he's not going to recruit:
I'm fine with my teammates, if they choose to [go after another scorer] that's up to them. But my teammates that I have right now, I'm fine with them....I know there are a lot of people that want to play here...But it's not up to me, it's up to [the players] to make that decision, meet with [Gar Paxdorf], and see what they're going to do...I'm not going to [be a recruiter], if you want to come here, come here, but it's not up to me to make that decision.
Again, no real point in selling out his club-buddy Keith BROgans. And to another one of his points, it certainly is looking like the middling wings of the world do want to be in Chicago.
