Promoted from the diaries. Some good discussion in the subsequent comments, regarding the maligned yet most likely course of the offseason: keeping the 2 picks and signing a couple midlevel FAs. -Matt
Building on the draft talk, I thought it might be cool to talk free agents.
The general opinion seems to be that the Bulls will be shooting for a big gun this season (Garnett, Harrington, etc.). Personally, I'm not sold on any big name idea aside from Garnett (which seems like a pipedream to me). Mining the web for lower-tier FA revealed a nice pool of PF/C's that might mesh well with our team. Mohammed, Gooden, Wilcox, Przybilla, etc. Wilcox in particular might be a great find. Check out his numbers...

I'm sure that looks garbled, the numbers that matter are 14 pts/gm, 7 boards, 1 steal. also, 61.5% the field.
I really think that we can land one-two solid, reasonably priced FA in this summer's market. Not many teams have money and a good portion of the players probably won't cost a lot.
Personally, i think Wilcox would shine on our team.
