Game Thread #64: Bulls vs. Portland Trail Blazers

New, comments

If the Bulls have any type of playoff dreams, this is a must-win. It's true, I found myself actively watching the end of the Bucks/Hawks game rooting against Milwaukee (they wound up winning a close one). Does it ultimately matter who gets the right to be shellacked by the Pistons? Maybe not, but the lower seeds in the east seem pretty bent on fading down the stretch, so might as well take the spot they don't want.

So at 3 games back, a home game against the lowly TrailBlazers is as must-win as things get. Bulls are nearly 10 point favorites, which is pretty crazy considering the Bulls win (or lose) nearly every game in close fashion.

Juan Dixon is out, which is nice since he has a Bull-torching past. Joel Przybilla will play, which is bad since he's tall (potential FA signing?).

I don't even remember the last time these two teams played, apparently it was on a Theo Ratliff game-winner. I guess there's just been too many blown games this season to notice.

(Most of the Blazers talk lately has been about owner Paul Allen, actually)

Leave pre/in/postgame comments below. I'll be in the UC tonight! Nothing will prepare me for lame NCAA basketball (don't get me wrong I love the action, but it's a glorified 3-point shooting contest) than below-average NBA buckets.
