- First off, big time plug over to a new SBNation sister site, GoldenStateofMind.com. They moved from the Golden State Warriors BLOG to join the team, and I'm proud to have them on board. A real tour-de-force of Warriors blogging.
- Ben Gordon, Luol Deng, and Andres Nocioni (Nocioni!) have been selected to participate in the rookie/sophomore challenge this all-star weekend. No Chris Duhon, but I'm happy Noc made it, he's dramatically improved his shooting this season. Maybe despite his past denials, Nocioni will participate in the 3-point contest since he'll be at the event anyway?
- 82Games.com has published a study on statistical leaders in taking charges. Nocioni is 3rd among all players and the Bulls are 3rd in the entire league, with Hinrich and Harrington joining Noc at the top. Surprisingly Chris Duhon did not appear on the leaderboard. Don't get too excited though, the evidence so far has displayed no correlation between drawing charges and team success, which makes sense to me as I'd rather see a contested shot than the defender flopping on the ground.
- In case you missed it, Kendra "Mrs. Antonio" Davis has been charged with misdemeanor battery stemming from an incident in October. The incident being...she threw hot coffee in someone's face. Can Chicago sports fans get an apology now? Upon hearing thi news, I performed my patriotic duty and forwarded it to Deadspin.
So chew on all that while prepping yourselves for Bulls/Suns Saturday night. I'm sure that will be fun. (Note: It's hard to convey sarcasm via text so I will clarify the previous statement by assuring you that I mean it likely won't be fun.)
