High Season Ticket Renewal Rates?
This is not a post about the team, but more about season tickets. At the end of the season, I read posts here and on other message boards written by season ticket holders saying that they were not going to renew their tickets. Even after the Bulls got the number one pick, I spoke with a number of season ticket holders who said they would not renew. Even after the renewal deadline passed, I called the Bulls and was told that the renewal rate this year was much lower than the alleged 99% renewal rates from previous years.
The Bulls sent letters to season ticket holders this week advising them if their seats improved for the upcoming season. I spoke people with tickets in the 100 and 200 levels who received those letters and nobody improved (myself included). I don't want to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but in light of the anecdotal evidence I had of non-renewals and the Bulls' admission of lower renewal rates, the lack of improvements does not seem to add up. Maybe I'm just talking to the wrong people. Getting to the punchline of this post, did any BABers get to improve their seats?

Bulls Season Ticket Holders Abused
The morning following the Bulls' epic collapse to the Sixers, I open my mailbox and find an envelope from the Bulls. It contains an invoice for the first two rounds of playoff tickets and a notice of a regular season price increase for the the 08-09 season. Your choices are to buy the playoff tickets or cancel next season's tickets. Is this a joke?! Playoff tickets and a price increase?! This team makes me sick.

Skiles' Awful Player Management: Tyrus Edition
As a fan, I want to see the best possible team on the floor. I want to see combinations of players that give us the best possible chance to win. I do not want to see Adrian Griffin starting, and I certainly do not want to see Skiles try to teach Tyrus a lesson via DNP-CD.
Look, I have no illusions that Thomas is going to come in and dominate. But, haven't the Bulls looked a lot better when Thomas or Noah is on the floor? Those guys share some common traits, namely being active around the basket with rebounds, help defense, tips and this "energy" quality that seems to be the buzzword. It seems to me that one of those two players should be on the floor at all times (well, at least most of the time). I'm glad that Noah is getting some burn, but what is going on with Tyrus? Sitting him does not help the team and it does not help him develop.
Looking at the Celtics game, there was no way to get TT in there, even for 12 minutes? Are you kidding me? Deng is a red-hot 6 of 17 and runs for 41 minutes but there's no room for Tyrus? Not that one would sub for the other, but BG shoots 25% and stays on the floor for 39 minutes? The starters play heavy minutes and don't get it done. So, why not go to the complete bench? Oh yeah, Skiles Doghouse Syndrome.
Why am I paying $120 a seat for this?! Honestly, I feel like Skiles' rotations cheat the fans from being able to see the best possible Bulls' team. You want to punish a player? Make him run suicides after practice. Don't take it out on me.
