Chandler, Duhon and the bad coaching saga
I am sure letting Duhon go was the right thing. I was against the Chandler trade but didn't think it was the end of world either. But we have to wonder, don't we? Why guys like Chandler and Duhon got to play so well the second the stepped out the Bulls roster? I am sure both Hinrich and Rose are lightyears ahead of Duhon. I am sure that TT can but much better numbers than he does and be at least as valuable as Chandler. So why it doesn't happen?
To me it is about bad coaching. Guys who can't motivate, who doesn't have a solid system, who can doesn't have consistency on their calls.... I do believe Del Negro have potential but right now I do think the Bulls would be an much better team if they had a much better coach.
What do you think?

Hollinger stats sucks
Lately I read lots of posts quoting Hollinger's PER. Personally I think that is crap made by a frustrated man who could not put his statistics skills for better use.
I don't get why people care to give attention to this. Unless you agree that Carl Landry is more efficient than Steve Nash or Deron Williams, Brandon Haywood would go over Tyson Chandler and that JR Smith and Rip Hamilton are basically the same thing...
With that excuse for analysis Hollinger keeps posting his fallacies disguised as mathematical stuff to say the things he believed anyway despite the numbers
As someone once said: statistics is the art of torturing the numbers until they speak your truth...

Free agents talks, trade talks, a Spurs run on Ben Gordon and the Bulls...?
Is the negotiation with Gordon and Deng going on? I hope so and they are closed fast. Almost every team is making a move and if Pax take too much time to make decisions we may be out of good options.
The Spurs will make a move on Ben Gordon (http://www.hoopsworld.com/Story.asp?story_id=9312). Some teams would like to add Hinrich. Well the opportunities are there but they won't wait forever.
May favorite option is to sign Gordon again and make the HInrinch-Camby trade. I think a Rose-Gordon-Deng-TT/Noah-Camby would be very good.
I don't believe will can really get Brand for hinrich and gooden, but with we do, go for it even if needed be to add a 1st round pick

Priorities: coach, trade, draft pick - in that order
1) Picking the right coach is the first priority to the Bulls. Skiles should have gone before that season even started. It was obvious that he didn't have the skill that the Bulls need and that is: mentoring young players. Hinrich, Gordon and Deng collapsed under he too much pressure and no development approach. Tyrus Thomas - who I still believe has great potential (he is only 21) - should be getting better. And now we have the #1 pick - So the FIRST thing to do is pick a Coach with teaching skills
2) Study trade scenarios. Getting rose means trading hinrinch. Getting Beasley means trading Gooden or TT or Noce or a combination of those. So, who can we get that will make the team better considering the pick to complete the team. Or trade the pick (that teams was a semi-finalist without Rose/Beasley - if the trade is good, trade the pick)
3) Draft. The Bulls will be better with either Rose or Beasley. I like Rose better, but we need a bigger view here...

Should we go for Sheed, ONeal or other?
It seems that Rasheed Wallace will be available for a trade. Should the Bulls go for it? It's risky but it just 1 year of contract and probably would not be to hard to get him. If he is motivated it would boost up the Bulls... O Neal bring the health risk but he would also boost our post game. I can't see any other player who would not cost too much for the Bulls unless the Bobcats would give Emeka for Hinrich which I doubt....
