Doug Thonus waxes romantically over Ben Gordon like a schoolgirl with a crush

My question; would the Bulls have won last night if we still had Gordon?

Gordon: All Options Are Open

Ben Gordon doesn't worry what others think, especially those who questioned his decision to shun two long-term offers from the Bulls the last two summers. "It really doesn't make a difference to me. I'm going to try to do the things I need to do to accomplish what I'm trying to accomplish. Unless it's like my Mom or something, everything anybody else says doesn't have anything to do with the way I handle myself." Gordon will be an unrestricted free agent July 1. As for wanting to remain with the Bulls, Gordon is noncommital. "Honestly, I haven't really thought much about it," he said. "I'm going to wait until after the season. All my options are open. I haven't closed any doors." -- Chicago Sun-Times

Bulls Will Try To Keep Gordon

On whether John Salmons' arrival means the Bulls won't re-sign Ben Gordon this summer: GM John Paxson: "Some of this will be financial, that's the nature of the business right now. We'd love to keep Ben Gordon. We tried the last two years and we made offers that were substantial. But for whatever reason, it didn't work out and I don't assign blame to anybody. I still think we'll have a chance in the off-season to look at the big picture and try to get him back." -- Arlington Heights Daily Herald

Ben Gordon To Play For Great Britain

Ben Gordon has confirmed to Ian Whitell of The Times that he will make his debut for Great Britain this summer.

'09 Free agent class may be better than '10.

Says one extremely high-ranking team executive: "This is going to be a nuclear winter for free agents. I would not want to be one this summer. So, if the point is that this summer will be great because there will be bargains galore, you are on the money." Ben Gordon, your MLE is waiting.

Why Isn't There More "Ben Gordon to Cleveland" Talk?

The article makes a good point about the possibility of some expiring contracts coming back to the Bulls in Wally, Snow, Damon Jones and Joe Smith. But it may be that the Bulls genuinely are looking for a way to hold onto Ben Gordon. Or, at least, that they don't want Cleveland being that good. We'll give you our trash for your trash, but our deadly outside shooter to pair with LeBron for cap space? No way...

Sixers interested in Ben Gordon?

The Sixers have cap space to sign a max free agent this summer, and their first target should be Clippers power forward Elton Brand, who would fit beautifully with their up-tempo style. If they can't lure the potential free agent out of Los Angeles, however, two league insiders prophesy a move to land Bulls restricted free agent Ben Gordon, an undersized shooting guard who could share the backcourt with big point guard Andre Miller.
