Open Game Thread #71: Bulls at Philadelphia 76ers
How sad is this: last season the Bulls were where the Sixers wanted to be, and this year the Sixers (6pm CST, WCIU) are where the Bulls want to be, and that's the shallow goal of 7th seed in the Eastern Conference. Actually, the Sixers have been winning so much that they're the 6th seed (and a half game out of 5).
I read this from Roland Laird today, a recent Q&A with Sixers management:

By the power of Grey Skull!!!
Nocioni looks terrible
The Philadelphia announcers
On another note, I wish my name was Thaddeus. No sarcasm intended, that name is just awesome.
trying to decide
well the Bulls tonight (and this season, actually)
Deng and Gordon with back to back TO's
This is definitely gonna be one of those games
You can see the division during that timeout
EXCELLENT
....man we suck...
Aww u dont like my sig
They're playing no defense
Gray in before TT
Hughes
Ut oh gray's in
Hey I have an idea

6ers look like
A little early
Bulls Future Roster?
Eh? - Hinrich, Thomas, Noce
Get Rid of - Hughes
by danger mouse on Mar 26, 2008 6:54 PM CDT reply actions
and now even TT is 0
This coaching staff sucks so bad! Watching their
We are in copy and paste mode. Too many
No pulse! I think only Thabo and Noah are the
Naw - that's just show
No one.
Like I also said last week
Fire Boylan.
Trade everyone.
Start over.
Give the ball to Thabo! He is the only guy
If we lose, are we officially out of the playoff
I am looking for some silver lining here.
In the name of all that is good and holy
It's really kinda funny
they're laughing their arses off
The media
Boylan might then listen, but right now Boylan thinks Paxson is a chump because Skiles treated Paxson likewise.
Thaddeus Young 12pts, Tyrus Thomas 2pts (only 7 min.)
Paxson is hoping to do what Boston did
Then Pax trades a lot of young talent for proven players.
But you need a good draft pick to do that so this is what is taking place
Deng is only about a half dozen dunks
That traveling call
Nice observation.... Totally true. Like Varejao
Phili announcers
Way more annoying than Stacey King even
Never thought someone could be more annoying the King
28 - 2 fast break points for the 76 ers
Even in a mgame where Drew Gooden is
Boylan needs to be stoned to death with old bobble heads.
of course not
Great example to young players...
U damn right some of us expected victory!!
No nuts no glory dammit!! We appear to be devoid of them.

Hinrich seems to be getting into the paint
I know it's not the only excuse
They've done nothing but call some ticky tack bullshit on us.
And now they just gave Hinrich mega-continuation.
These refs suck

And Deng sucks the big one AGAIN
UGH!
Not to bring back old memories
"huh, whered it go?"
god, horrid handles that man has.
yep
Deng is showing over and over that he is who we thought he is...
a mediocre player who should be supporting a star, stud player.
Yeah Bullish...

I HATE BOYLAN... AND HUGHES!!!

You can watch the 2 guys that Pax missed getting

I really don't
Kirk had a better shooting second half, sadly it was not enough.
oh WOW
Chris Paul is the real deal, man.
Hey
I watched the end of the Cav- NO game
I'm with you lexi...
Has anybody noticed
Boylan did allow one thing to happen
Sam Smith's last mailbag is up
And I got a question in! What an honor.
Well, the Cavs have spent almost two seasons trying to trade him. They made the investment to help persuade LeBron to reup, though he did for only three years. It's why they had to overpay. Hughes came thinking he'd be a tandem with James, but there is no such thing. As a result, I think it's going to be virtually impossible to deal Hughes, and if you have to pay Gordon and then I'd assume Deng, that's your team, and I think Bulls management has seen enough of this group together. The Bulls didn't necessarily want Hughes, but it was the cost of getting rid of Ben Wallace and I do think given his age as Hughes gets closer to the end of his contract he will have more trade appeal than Wallace, perhaps by next trading deadline in February 2009.
Funny
larry hughes fucking blows ...
A. stop shooting contested jumpers or no PT for you. actually, just stop shooting period because you suck at shooting, as indicated by your sub 40% shooting percentage.
B. stop gambling on defense for steals, you fucking stat whore. man up and stop cheating off your man because what you're doing isn't help defense, it's
C. better start to give a shit about winning you rich selfish prick, or i'm going to find some way to void your idiotic, colossal waste of a contract you overpaid piece of shit.
then larry hughes needs to get benched, or get cut. he is useless if he isn't using his size to play real defense or his quickness to attack the basket.

It's his last one
He said Deng will be a Bull (he'll get over whatever is upsetting him), and that the coaches do work with the players, so he doesn't know where the whoe coaches won't work with them comes from.
by KT on Mar 26, 2008 9:39 PM CDT up reply actions
He's only gone if he wants big money.
If I were him I'd sign a two year deal for whatever the bulls would go up to and then bust my ass being a more rounded player and set myself up as a consolation prize for all those teams with cap room who miss out on LBJ/Wade/Melo. He'll be 27 then and could easily get a 4 year deal for bigger money. But he isn't getting that this year.

Second night in a row I've had to miss the game
I guess Drew (Dwight!) used up all his "hotness" last night? That would be shooting hotness - I'm more into scruffy than mountain man ;)
he's now undoubtedly earned

I think tonight was a lack of focus
by bullshooter on Mar 26, 2008 10:32 PM CDT up reply actions
Tyrus goes negative
Player Minutes (+-)
Hughes 241:16 -28
Deng 289:21 -33
Noah 197:27 -31
Gooden 285:58 -20
Gordon 232:11 -54
Nocioni 111:59 -17
Nichols 7:47 +5
Gray 51:23 +8
Thabo 168:11 0
Kirk 230:10 0
THOMAS 115:24 +26
Duhon 3:25 +3
So the way I see it, if we stick with the guard tandem of Kirk and Thabo we may luck out and wind up in a tie.
TT did a good job tonight
by bullshooter on Mar 26, 2008 10:23 PM CDT up reply actions
i used to watch
we don't even look like we care... thabo and maybe joakim are the only ones who look like they are paying any attention.
how can you tell that
by bullshooter on Mar 26, 2008 10:17 PM CDT up reply actions
i lied
maybe gray does care too, but i have never seen a group so uninterested as the team i was watching play tonight. they were throwing it away everywhere and seemed like they couldn't hang onto the ball.
