Open Game Thread #45: Bulls at Minnesota Timberwolves

I'm extremely worried that after a relatively strong performance in 35 minutes last night, Ben Wallace will be oh so tired for this one, and that'll mean big(er) things for Al Jefferson this time around.

Deng's out. As far as I can tell, Duhon, Smith, and Gordon are maybes.

Smith, Gordon
and of course Deng are no go's tonight. I have no idea what to expect from this team tonight.

Apparently I have an ulcer, and I really wanna blame it on Boylan

Ulcers
rarely have to with stress, despite popular belief.

And why should you be stressed about the Bulls?

by KT on Jan 30, 2008 7:23 PM CST to parent up   0 recs

Frustration
gets me stressed out and also the losing causes me to drink a lot more than usual.

I mean I don't wanna blame it all on the Bulls but I have to think they have at least a small percent to do with it

by Option27 on Jan 30, 2008 7:25 PM CST to parent up   0 recs

ah, the drinking
that's not a help.

Is it me or Wallace doesn't get get
position nor jump for rebounds.

by chgobr on Jan 30, 2008 7:16 PM CST   0 recs

he was extra jumpy last night
so he probably used up all his jumps for the week.

Noc has a new move
behind the back dribble, he's done it every time down the court so far.

What a horrid game
Both these teams should be kicked out of the NBA immediately.

it would be like this for both teams playing back to back

14 points would really look bad
except it produced a 6-point lead!

by hhi on Jan 30, 2008 7:39 PM CST   0 recs

Nonsense
Thabo not playing enough
Noah and Tyrus not playing enough
Wallace playing too much.

I think we are going to continue to see this until the trade dealine because Pax wants to showcase potential trade candidates, ie, Wallace. After that Noah, Thomas, Thabo, etc will get a LOT more playing time because Pax thinks that after the trade deadline there will be enough time to make the playoffs.

by hlac on Jan 30, 2008 7:44 PM CST   0 recs

We may have to score again
to pull this one out.

by hhi on Jan 30, 2008 7:45 PM CST   0 recs

Rookies
5 minutes left in half and Noah and Gray account for more than half of the Bulls points! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!

by BiNgO on Jan 30, 2008 7:50 PM CST   0 recs

Do the teams know that you're allowed
to score as many points as you want in the first quarter?

8 points?  Woe is the Wolves fan.

Interest Level = Wins - Losses + 2*Tyrus Time + 1.5*(Thabo + Noah Time) - .4*Bricked layups + 3*Red Kerr Blathering time

Can't watch it in St Louis
Kirk?  5 assists on 10 baskets for the Bulls so far?  Whoa, he's back in a big way maybe.

And someone take away Noce's chucker card, if we have to pry it from his cold, cold hands.

What a bunch of scrubs!
Pax better pull a rabbit outta his arse before the trade deadline.

by BiNgO on Jan 30, 2008 8:07 PM CST   0 recs

at least with Deng and Gordon out
these sorta ARE our scrubs.  If Noah, Tyrus and Thabo parlay this production into production after the return of Luol and Gordon, I'm weirdly encouraged by this garbage.

Go Bulls?

MN cable broadcast with halftime
interview of Brewer and Noah: "I actually first met those guys in the gym....I had my bags. I was always late." And Cory's nodding his head up and down at this revelation! LOL.

by marionette on Jan 30, 2008 8:12 PM CST   0 recs

The more I watch Noah, the more convinced I
am that he could be something special.

He has natural length, he's active, he rebounds, he passes well, he runs the floor, and he is showing some incipient post moves.

Minus the weight problem, of course.  Their games are becoming disturbingly similar, though.

This injury to Luol
has shown us his limitations.  Energy and scoring off the bench, yes.  Primary scorer/starting small forward?  No way Jose.

4 Trees and A Midget
Of course, the Minnesota Midget get the ball. The Bulls could not get a rebound if their life depended on it.  Scrubs extraordinaires!

by BiNgO on Jan 30, 2008 8:47 PM CST   0 recs

The Bulls surely do know how
to close out a quarter in a horrendous fashion.

I don't know if this squad can come back from 11 down.

The BULLS ARE TERRIBLE, THEY WON'T WIN 30 GAMES
I am starting to think that the bulls really are the NBA's worst team. I think we'll go winless on the road trip. I predict this team will go 27-55. They just don't have the fire power or a legit all star talent. The CORPSE NEEDS TO GO. HE SUCH A LOCKDOWN DEFENDER EVEN THOUGH HE GIVES UP 23 BOARDS TO JEFFERSON.

The Office
If anyone watches the Office, one of the episodes Jim runs out of ways to pull pranks on Dwight and decides to give it up, until Dwight gives him yet another idea and another reason he deserves a prank.  Jim thought it wasn't possible for Dwight to get more annoying, and sure enough he does it, just like every time the bulls can't get worse, they go for it and prove us wrong.  For those no longer watching the bulls, watch the Office it'll make you laugh instead of sitting here in misery 90 percent of the time.
And the starting line up for your world champion Chicago Bulls. . .
