first game in a month where i've had the bulls, and high speed internet, all in one conveinent package

by milesgmsu on Jan 13, 2008 1:03 PM CST   0 recs

Hey Miles
great Iowa-MSU game last night huh?
Win, just win.

welcome back
Deng and Miles
I vote for Thomas to play, play more and play regularly.-Sam Smith

by tyrus4prez on Jan 13, 2008 1:04 PM CST   0 recs

ugh, what bullshit
the team gets to vote on the suspension? what have they earned as a group to decide anything?

I hope Boylan never gets another job due to this garbage so far. Letting Ben Wallace run everything. (not literally, as he can't run anymore)

by your friendly BullsBlogger on Jan 13, 2008 1:09 PM CST to parent up   0 recs

If anyone recognizes insubordination
it's Ben Wallace, right?

It just seems so odd.

really, it's just a bad career move
if you're going to cater to a player, don't do it with one with one foot towards retirement. Dumbass Boylan.

by your friendly BullsBlogger on Jan 13, 2008 1:13 PM CST to parent up   0 recs

Wallace had an issue
and decided to create his stink in the middle  of a game.  That is fifty times worse than anything done during practice.  To make matters worse, his issue was about a f*%$#$g headband.  His punishment was to have a few meetings with Pax, whose hands were tied because the more Wallace decides to go on holiday, the worse Pax looks for giving him $60 million.

It's insulting to fans who pay some of the highest prices in the league for tickets.  Some of the season ticket holders in my section say they are done after this year.  I don't blame them.

by No bull on Jan 13, 2008 2:48 PM CST to parent up   0 recs

they voted???
I can't believe I missed that. Everyone deserves to be fired.

Or Maybe
Noah did something hanious enough to warrant the team, coach, and players from rewarding him for such actions with pt in a game with his (gator) buddy and  virtually in gator country. whatever it was it had to be good, for a rook that is.

by TheMattador on Jan 13, 2008 1:46 PM CST to parent up   0 recs

No way dude!
Its Noah man, its Noah.

by Kemp on Jan 13, 2008 2:41 PM CST to parent up   0 recs

Or maybe....
since those guys were there and saw what happened AND have actually been on an NBA team in their lives they might have opinions of some value.  Sure, they've never run a blog but
nevertheless..

by Rusty LaRue on Jan 13, 2008 1:31 PM CST to parent up   0 recs

nah.
doesn't hold up, rustnuts, the coaches have 'been there' and can make the supsensions just fine.

by your friendly BullsBlogger on Jan 13, 2008 1:33 PM CST to parent up   0 recs

So the guys that were there...
got it wrong but some guy with a fan-site and computer
knows better??? Jesus.  Its just amazing how infrequently you trouble yourself to think beyond your player biases.  Maybe,
juuuuussssst maybe Wallace got this one right.

by Rusty LaRue on Jan 13, 2008 1:48 PM CST to parent up   0 recs

in our fan-site meeting
we voted Veektor get 30 minutes a night.

by your friendly BullsBlogger on Jan 13, 2008 2:23 PM CST to parent up   0 recs

Funny
but you just whiffed on that one

by Rusty LaRue on Jan 13, 2008 2:33 PM CST to parent up   0 recs

The fact the team asked for another game
makes me really curious as to what happened.

by wjb1492 on Jan 13, 2008 1:09 PM CST to parent up   0 recs

No chance
Noah's going anywhere but  its  pretty clear  at least a couple of these guys are playing for contracts....whooo could it be?

by Rusty LaRue on Jan 13, 2008 1:53 PM CST to parent up   0 recs

This is the 10th game post-Skiles,
so all those "last 10" stats will now be the "new and improved" Bulls.  Also, the final-straw loss to Houston comes off the last-10 today, and a W will give the guys a positive scoring margin over that period.

Hey, it's something...

the team
suspended Noah, for one more game?
I vote for Thomas to play, play more and play regularly.-Sam Smith

by tyrus4prez on Jan 13, 2008 1:07 PM CST   0 recs

Unanimous decision.
That was what the team meeting was about yesterday.

GO BULLS!!!

Win, just win.

by sue369 on Jan 13, 2008 1:10 PM CST to parent up   0 recs

Wallace organied the meeting
probably wanted more PT

by tyrus4prez on Jan 13, 2008 1:13 PM CST to parent up   0 recs

umm..
...more likely they realized that a young rookie getting into a verbal altercation with an assistant coach is not only disrespectful, but is also an indication of how that player views authority, and even perhaps how he views his own teammates.  kudos to the team.

by leeac on Jan 13, 2008 1:43 PM CST to parent up   0 recs

nothing says "team"
like "singling out a rookie for public embarrassment."
Fire Boylan!

by hscs on Jan 13, 2008 1:52 PM CST to parent up   0 recs

...it's
it's a respect issue.  noah has been in the league all of 2 months and he's already calling out bulls coaching staff?  kind of like he critiqued the bulls play after his first game of the season?  the kid is eager and energetic, but he's on a different page as the team, and they're having trouble getting him on the same page.  sometimes it takes tough love to get it done.

if you look at noah's responses to his second day of suspension, he still sounds like a little kid that got his dessert taken away.  once he grows up a little and learns how take responsibility for his own actions, i'd love for him to take ALL of wallace's minutes.

by leeac on Jan 13, 2008 2:18 PM CST to parent up   0 recs

Yeah, only Ben Wallace is allowed to do that here
Was he suspended last year for openly defying Skiles?  It would be nice if this organization would stop sucking Wallace's dick.

by Big D on Jan 13, 2008 1:56 PM CST to parent up   0 recs

I think it reflects pretty badly ona team
...if they can't integrate in a talented and eager rookie

by bullsfaninbigapple on Jan 13, 2008 2:05 PM CST to parent up   0 recs

Deng and Gordon off the bench
wake me up when the real team is ready to play.

by your friendly BullsBlogger on Jan 13, 2008 1:14 PM CST   0 recs

no, f'real
I know we have to spot each team a lead to start each half...but this much?

comeback kidzzzz

by your friendly BullsBlogger on Jan 13, 2008 1:21 PM CST to parent up   0 recs

what a mess
Fire Boylan!

by hscs on Jan 13, 2008 1:19 PM CST   0 recs

That Noah shit it lame
Wallace and Griffin shouldn't even be making decisions for this team at all.

Boylan needs to get canned asap and Wallace needs to go

by Option27 on Jan 13, 2008 1:22 PM CST   0 recs

it gets worse
http://blogs.chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/fullcourtpress/2008/01/old-man-griff.html

So Griffin is kinda behind the Noah benching? This fake coach bullshit sucks. Boylan isn't running anything, and Paxson is no where to be found.

Fire Boylan!

by hscs on Jan 13, 2008 1:23 PM CST   0 recs

heh
Remember, it was Griffin who called the players-only meeting earlier this season when the wheels first started coming off this season.

how'd that work out?

by your friendly BullsBlogger on Jan 13, 2008 1:26 PM CST to parent up   0 recs

Wallace and Griffin
Shouldn't even get to vote for President

24 - 9?
THEY'RE LOSING TO A TEAM WITH NO VETERAN LEADERSHIP!

How can this be?

by Freethefro on Jan 13, 2008 1:29 PM CST   0 recs

if u were a hawks fan
whose jersey would you wear?

by milesgmsu on Jan 13, 2008 1:30 PM CST   0 recs

That question makes me basketball-sad
because they're nobody on the Bulls I consider jersey-worthy at present.

They've got Horford, Johnson, Josh Smith.

But I'd have to go for Horford.  Smart, tough, going to be an allstar.

or acie law the 4th    LAW IV    looks like the latest dick wolf cash cow

by milesgmsu on Jan 13, 2008 1:37 PM CST to parent up   0 recs

Duh!
Josh Smith, he is never getting traded, plus there is a bit of Shawn Kemp there, though he doesn't have the fire like the Reignman.

by Kemp on Jan 13, 2008 2:47 PM CST to parent up   0 recs

Josh Smith = Tyrus Thomas?
Except TT can't get on court for our "ECF" squad.

by marionette on Jan 13, 2008 2:56 PM CST to parent up   0 recs

I guess...
though Smith's offensive game looks a lot better, he can definitely slash and keep the ball under control.  Not to mention he trained with Hakeem this year, which gave him some back to the basket moves.  Maybe they will send Thomas to Hakeem...that would be so great.

by Kemp on Jan 13, 2008 7:37 PM CST to parent up   0 recs

Seriously
How many times do you have to see us getting blown out by oppenents starting lineups to realise that the lame one you got on the court don't work!?

Boylan is a fuckin idiot

by Option27 on Jan 13, 2008 1:30 PM CST   0 recs

What did Pax expect
when he hired the kindler/gentler Skiles?  Worse: why did I expect anything?

by Freethefro on Jan 13, 2008 1:34 PM CST to parent up   0 recs

Paxson letting this go on
Is like a parent watching his son getting fucked up on heroin day to day and not doing shit about it but changing his attitude towards shit.

Send his ass to rehab!

Did that even just make sense? LOL

by Option27 on Jan 13, 2008 1:34 PM CST   0 recs

Hawks shooting 80%
There's that vaunted Bulls defense again!

I'm torn between the "can't get worse" theory and the "Hawks can't keep it up" theory.  I need something to hold on to, here.

that it's ok to be down by 15-18 points after first Q?Wow...

by milesgmsu on Jan 13, 2008 1:43 PM CST   0 recs

Maybe Ben Wallace and Adrian Griffin
can be packaged in a leadership trade.  Calling team meetings has to be a skill worth 16 wins to a leadership starved team.  They've been worth exactly that for the Bulls so far.

by Scotter on Jan 13, 2008 1:44 PM CST   0 recs

14

by milesgmsu on Jan 13, 2008 1:44 PM CST to parent up   0 recs

Nope,Griffin's intangibles prevented this team
from losing more games than they actually played.

by Scotter on Jan 13, 2008 1:49 PM CST to parent up   0 recs

This team is a joke
Looks like the player only meeting worked

Great job fuckheads

by PittFan on Jan 13, 2008 2:04 PM CST   0 recs

Probably Wallace initiated voting
