I am excited to see how the summer league team does. I just wish Joakim was able to play.

Here is a roster and bios of the Bulls players.

I can't watch
the game today, but I look forward to reading overreactions regarding JamesOn Curry easily replacing Ben Gordon.

I'm so stoked
for the game today

By the way . . .
Anyone notice Yi's game yesterday?

Wow, I can only wish

He didn't shoot well, but he got to the line at
will because of his unique combination of size and quickeness. And, of course, he hit the game winner.

But he'll have to better than 3-11 from the field in the real NBA.

Hey Sue,
I'm clicking on the first link you posted, but there is no info about the Bulls on it. Just Vegas stuff. Any ideas where i could find the Orlando stuff? :) thanks!

The Orlando Magic do the web casting
So check out http://www.nba.com/magic/news/07summerleague.html later today.    They had announcers last year who work for the Magic - they knew Skiles from his days in Orlando.  They ripped on him constantly during the Bulls cames - very, very funny.  I hope they're back, they were way more interesting than the games.

And last year we got to see Skiles in shorts and flipflops.

And excuse me for answering for Sue. :)

Sorry
You needed to scroll down to where the NBA-TV icon was for the info.

O Sweet!
Thanks Yall!

someone
wanna make a live game thread?

by milesgmsu on Jul 9, 2007 10:30 AM CDT   0 recs

Yes
please.

by bu11s on Jul 9, 2007 10:31 AM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Thanks for the update Sue
is there any chance we'll actually be able to watch these games on webcast?  Every time I try to watch it says "blacked out in your area."

by Freethefro on Jul 9, 2007 11:07 AM CDT   0 recs

I don't believe the Orlando games are on NBA TV
So I don't think that will be an issue.

by KT on Jul 9, 2007 11:39 AM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Yeah
Sadly not on NBA TV...just online
Remember a healthy Nocioni, the one you loved.

by Option27 on Jul 9, 2007 12:05 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Like the others have said,
anything not on NBA TV can be watched online.  So all of the Orlando summer league games can be watched on the Magic site.  The NBA has to protect it's NBATV investment so any area that can get NBATV gets the games blacked out.  Has anyone tried to watch archived games that were blacked out?  I thought maybe the blackout would lift once they air on NBATV.

by Scotter on Jul 9, 2007 12:15 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

sweet
much obliged

by Freethefro on Jul 9, 2007 1:28 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

These announcers
like Aaron Gray. Thabo too.

by sue369 on Jul 9, 2007 2:03 PM CDT   0 recs

I can't get the live feed,
so if anyone watching wants to provide the occasional comment I would be greatly indebted.

by wjb1492 on Jul 9, 2007 2:09 PM CDT   0 recs

I think the
starers for the Bulls today were Thabo, TT, Aaron Gray, Andre Barrett and Justin Cage.

by sue369 on Jul 9, 2007 2:13 PM CDT   0 recs

Bulls lead
11-7 with 4:45 left in the first quarter.

by sue369 on Jul 9, 2007 2:14 PM CDT   0 recs

Sucks
Im on a mac and it won't let me watch it from work! This Blows Chunks!
The Future is bright!

by Goostafer on Jul 9, 2007 2:14 PM CDT   0 recs

I don't think it's a work issue,
it's a Mac issue. If it's a new Intel mac, you can get around it by getting BootCamp or Parallels and installing a Windows OS on the machine.

Otherwise, yer screwed.

by ChrisRobin on Jul 9, 2007 4:35 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Tyrus can still jump. LOL.
He just had a big "block" on some unknown or other.

I can't tell a whole lot from watching this game. Maybe a pattern will emerge over the course of the week.

Noah's absence sort of takes the fun out of it. I'd like to see more of Gray.

by 1958ChiTown on Jul 9, 2007 2:15 PM CDT   0 recs

Good to know
As long as Ty keeps jumping, all is right in my world.

by wjb1492 on Jul 9, 2007 2:21 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Hmmm
So this is like a pick up game for rookies and sophmores huh? They just have the added luxury of having officials. Its kind of cool, i wish i could participate.

Anyone else looking for thabo or tyrus to just simply take over the game??? I would like to see the '04 summer league, cuz i assume gordon and hinrich and deng were on it.....

And yea...i do like the announcers, they are kind of funny.

im trying hard to become the next kirk hinrich, therefore im doing nothing more than being the next chris duhon.

by piccolomair on Jul 9, 2007 2:19 PM CDT   0 recs

these guys are great
out of the blue one guy says its so damn hot in here
next guy says looks like milk was a bad choice today. They are so random

by roach on Jul 9, 2007 2:24 PM CDT   0 recs

I loved their
conversation on how to pronounce JamesOn's name.

by sue369 on Jul 9, 2007 2:25 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Announcers claim Tyrsu has gained some muscle
weight. He does look marginally bigger on the camcorder suspended from the rafters of the Orlando practice facility.

by 1958ChiTown on Jul 9, 2007 2:25 PM CDT   0 recs

Wow
is this a no-defense game?  They're only playing 10 minute quarters, right?

Curry seems to have a quick first step,
but he is a little out of control.

So little can be gleaned.

by 1958ChiTown on Jul 9, 2007 2:38 PM CDT   0 recs

34-26
with 6:45 left in the 2nd quarter. Marty just had a dunk from a Barrett pass.

by sue369 on Jul 9, 2007 2:38 PM CDT   0 recs

So apparently,
summer league does offer stuff never seen in the regular season.  :)

My "dream" summer league lineup:
Andre Barrett
JamesOn Curry
Tyrus Thomas
Aaron Gray
Martynus Andruskeevivics
Yes, of course.

by tyger1147 on Jul 9, 2007 2:41 PM CDT   0 recs

Hah!
It's close w/ one exception.

Williams or Daniels or someone else instead of Marty.

Yes, of course.

by tyger1147 on Jul 9, 2007 2:43 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

hahah
tyrus wills that team to 5 victories in an nba season

by milesgmsu on Jul 9, 2007 10:01 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Gray makes one
missess one from the free-throw line.

by bu11s on Jul 9, 2007 2:43 PM CDT   0 recs

JamesOn with a nice spin...
...to the hoop and dishes to Tyrus flashing in from the left wing.
Yes, of course.

by tyger1147 on Jul 9, 2007 2:44 PM CDT   0 recs

Thomas is obviously...
...the best player on the floor.
Yes, of course.

by tyger1147 on Jul 9, 2007 2:45 PM CDT   0 recs

The announcers
are surprised he has so much hustle. They must not have watched him play at all during the season.

by sue369 on Jul 9, 2007 2:46 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Would be worried
if he wasn't!

Wish we were playing in the Oden/Durant/Yi summerleague instead of this one...

by Freethefro on Jul 9, 2007 2:49 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

True
But he's playing like it, too: aggressive and assertive.
Yes, of course.

by tyger1147 on Jul 9, 2007 2:59 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Damn
Meaning: "Playing like he knows it"
Yes, of course.

Bulls up 39-36
2:31 left in the 2md.

by bu11s on Jul 9, 2007 2:48 PM CDT   0 recs

39-36
with 2:31 left in the first half.

Andre Barrett
is a Summer League Superstar!!!

by LD9 on Jul 9, 2007 2:49 PM CDT   0 recs

Tyrus
looks the same, which I'm not mad at

Aaron Gray BABY!
He's winning me over big time

comparisons to Pargo are dead on!

by Option27 on Jul 9, 2007 2:54 PM CDT   0 recs

45-39
at the half.

by sue369 on Jul 9, 2007 2:55 PM CDT   0 recs

oh halftime
i was so confused i just turned the livestream on and all i saw was a scoreboard, no charles barkley at halftime saying that the bulls dont score enough

by Sambossanova on Jul 9, 2007 3:02 PM CDT   0 recs

haha

by milesgmsu on Jul 9, 2007 10:05 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Last year Thabo
was played at the point, and he looked good there.  Slashing to the basket and distrubuting, and hounding the other team's pg all the way up the floor on defense.  This year he's playing the 2, and he's seems to be getting lost some.

by Scotter on Jul 9, 2007 3:03 PM CDT   0 recs

Aaron has 6
and Curry has 7. Someone else has 7 too but I didn't catch who that was.

by sue369 on Jul 9, 2007 3:05 PM CDT   0 recs

TT's jumper doesn't look bad, but it still isn't
falling.

I know they have been working with him endlessly on his form.

by 1958ChiTown on Jul 9, 2007 3:10 PM CDT   0 recs

tyrus
did he just hit a jumper. is there anyway to make the screen bigger.

by Sambossanova on Jul 9, 2007 3:11 PM CDT   0 recs

kill me
even these amateur anouncers are all about the bulls being one piece away from getting up there with pistons and cavs etc...

by Sambossanova on Jul 9, 2007 3:14 PM CDT   0 recs

Mac Users
you an watch this stuff if you download an application called FLIP4MAC.  Compeltely safe and very popular application.  Works with Firefox for sure and probably with Safari.

by Sambossanova on Jul 9, 2007 3:17 PM CDT   0 recs

Woo hoo!
Thanks for the tip, Sam. It took some tinkering with my QuickTime prefs, but it's working now - at least in Firefox, that is.

by ChrisRobin on Jul 9, 2007 4:56 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Basically, this is Tyrus versus everyone.
I just don't want the kid to get hurt in summer league. He is everywhere today.

by 1958ChiTown on Jul 9, 2007 3:18 PM CDT   0 recs

52-52
with 4:21 left in the 3rd.

by sue369 on Jul 9, 2007 3:21 PM CDT   0 recs

That was a horrible
free-throw by Marty

by bu11s on Jul 9, 2007 3:21 PM CDT   0 recs

damn it
thomas is hurt a lil bit hurt.

by Sambossanova on Jul 9, 2007 3:22 PM CDT   0 recs

Hopefully
he'll be ok. They took him to the locker room.

by sue369 on Jul 9, 2007 3:25 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Tyrus taken to trainer's room.
Did anyone see what happened?

What part of his body was hurt?

by 1958ChiTown on Jul 9, 2007 3:26 PM CDT   0 recs

He was blocking a shot on a drive
so he probably caught a knee to the hip or stomach.

by Scotter on Jul 9, 2007 3:28 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

The announcers
said something about his hip. I didn't see what happened.

by sue369 on Jul 9, 2007 3:28 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

My screen
turned black

by bu11s on Jul 9, 2007 3:30 PM CDT   0 recs

this is a pretty bad connection.
