Another Bull to play this summer

Luol Deng will play for Britain in the Olympic Qualifier this summer.  That's two guys now, with Nocioni wanting to be the third.  It's also possible that Ben Gordan may do the same (having been born in London).  There are positives of course, but right now, I can only focus on the negatives such as injuries, being worn down by the playoffs, etc.

Ben
Word earlier in the year was that Luol was trying to get Ben to play for England but Ben was waiting for an invite from Team USA.  Since Ben hasn't been invited, I wonder if he'll play this summer with England.  Even if he doesn't, he always has the option to play if England makes the Olympics, right?

I'm sure
They would love to have him.

I will be pissed if Noce plays this summer.
He needs to rest that foot so we can start the season better than 3-9.  Does anyone know when the 2007-8 schedule comes out?

Kirk reports
to Las Vegas this weekend for camp. I have mixed emotions on the guys playing this summer.

So do I
I know this can be a good experience for them but it's a long season ahead (hopefully).

I've called Paxson and said I would watch everyone
this summer to make sure they don't get injured.

Of course
The Spurs have not had any trouble and they have a few several guys who play in these tournaments.

true
but the year tim duncan played was his worst in the league.

no way kirk makes the cut
with deron, chris paul, billupps, and kidd ahead of him in terms of PG

You never know
With kzyshefskoski coaching, he might just think that Hinrich went to duke and start him because he has the heart, hustle and style of a dukie.  Team USA should jsut send out a Duke All-Star squad.  Although I dont think theyd win it all, they probably would do better than a line up of James, Wade, Anthony, Howard and Bosh.

he very well might
every position on team USA is loaded.  At some point you need somebody to pass and play defense.  You don't want somebody who dribbles up and takes a three.
Need new sig

Noc playing sounds like a great idea,
just the perfect opportunity for him to fuck up his foot again.

Don't Forget Noah!
According to this interview with Jonathan Givony, Noah wants to play for the French team:
"The French National team is definitely something that has been in my dreams for a while. They used to talk to me a lot when I was playing with the Gators, but the Gators were my priority."

by onlythebulls on Jul 18, 2007 1:02 AM CDT reply actions

great
and I suppose the bulls arent a priority.

by givepaxahug on Jul 18, 2007 10:45 AM CDT up reply actions

And Sefo for the swiss team...
I'll be watching him no later than the 28th of July in Geneva against Tony Parker, Boris Diaw, etc (but not Noah, he will only be considered for next year at best by the french coach).
The Game chose him !

by Diabolo on Jul 19, 2007 6:51 AM CDT reply actions

Noah wouldn't
be able to play anywhere this year because of his shoulder injury.
