i saw that too...
and its not the first time.  There's about 10 comments from this thread from miles like a day and a half after the original post...i understand that for a regular diary, but for an in-game thread? hilarious

Mine has been working fine all day
and This is the 3rd game i'm watching. Oh ya and we are playing the Bobcats not the Hornets.

My first posts on blogabull..
took Summer League fever to get me hooked in the end :)

These guys should call Bulls games
I'm laughing out loud at my desk.  One guy was talking about the kickboxing demonstration that's going on elsewhere in the Orlando gym and he said that he was so scared that a "little pee came out."  Amazing.

by paxson43 on Jul 10, 2007 6:22 PM CDT reply actions

agree
I have been listening to these guys all day. they are funny.

by SRQman on Jul 10, 2007 6:24 PM CDT up reply actions

He did say "pee" right?
Just want to confirm that I'm not losing my mind.

by paxson43 on Jul 10, 2007 6:25 PM CDT up reply actions

I think...
I hope these guys are the magic broadcasters cuz then I can listen all year.

by SRQman on Jul 10, 2007 6:27 PM CDT up reply actions

I said those guys were a hoot
I think they're part of the Magic PR staff, they're not pros.

I loved it yesterday when they were talking about how no way Larry Bird would come up and talk with them.

Anyone got the score?
Living in the country is mostly great, but only having dial-up sucks.

Hard to explain...

I want to know
who the former Magic exec who was fond of Grey Goose.

I wonder what they'd do if they were announcing a real game?  Rip David Stern?  Probably.

by KT on Jul 10, 2007 6:56 PM CDT up reply actions

Aaron Gray
does not look like a 2nd round steal right now.

by Repeat Threepeat on Jul 10, 2007 6:45 PM CDT reply actions

agreed.
he'll need more to supplant big Mike!

by your friendly BullsBlogger on Jul 10, 2007 6:50 PM CDT up reply actions

Gray
It doesn't help when the gaurds are looking at him at all.  Give the big guy the ball and let see what he can do.  He is moving to the open spot on the pick and roll but isn't getting the ball.

by Jesse07 on Jul 10, 2007 6:53 PM CDT up reply actions

TYRUS!
Remember a healthy Nocioni, the one you loved.

by Option27 on Jul 10, 2007 6:47 PM CDT reply actions

Thabo and TT
Tyrus looks like he gained 5-10 pounds of muscle already. WOW. Thabo needs to work at the 1. He forces his shot too much when the offense isnt going thru him.

by Blacknight23 on Jul 10, 2007 6:48 PM CDT reply actions

Part of the problem with Thabo is barrett,
He's playing like crap, and monopolizing the ball. He's created practically nothing on offense in the last two games.

by Scotter on Jul 10, 2007 6:51 PM CDT up reply actions

Why is barrett on the roster?
Maybe as a try out for another team. i want to see Curry and Thabo get some nice burn together. Then they could take turns running the team.

by Blacknight23 on Jul 10, 2007 6:54 PM CDT reply actions

That's the combo I want to see
because it would come the closest to Thabo playing with Gordon or Hinrich.

by Scotter on Jul 10, 2007 6:57 PM CDT up reply actions

Gray is the 2nd coming
Of Jared Reiner (what happened to that guy?)

Big pasty stiff who will pick up spot minutes during garbage time.

by vlad001 on Jul 10, 2007 6:57 PM CDT reply actions

Jared
played for the Bucks last year.

But they also ended up with half the team on the disabled list at one time.

by KT on Jul 10, 2007 7:01 PM CDT up reply actions

Thabo and Tyrus
Are way above this level of competition. I would rather them work out individually than play with these stiffs and risk an injury.

by vlad001 on Jul 10, 2007 7:00 PM CDT reply actions

Dammit
if he's hurt take him out.

by sue369 on Jul 10, 2007 7:08 PM CDT reply actions

That doesn't sound good.
Please don't tell me it's Ty again.

Apparently he (TT)
keeps wincing. Announcers are wondering aloud if he is a drama queen

by Repeat Threepeat on Jul 10, 2007 7:12 PM CDT up reply actions

Whatever "hurt"
he has is minor. He's still playing

by Repeat Threepeat on Jul 10, 2007 7:13 PM CDT up reply actions

Yes
they said he was wincing again. Something this time about his knee. He's playing so well too.

by sue369 on Jul 10, 2007 7:13 PM CDT up reply actions

how many games did these guys watch last year
tt the same size. His arms were Durant like when he was drafted. And he'd be hurt anytime he took contact. Can you be stronger without looking bigger?

Yes, but if your battling Trekkies

by Scotter on Jul 10, 2007 8:03 PM CDT up reply actions

Good luck with that.
As a Farscape fan, I don't worry too much about the competition.

by Scotter on Jul 10, 2007 8:21 PM CDT up reply actions

i watched 15 mins of that
and had no clue what was going on...i finally called my friends and confirmed i wasn't baking when i was watching it

by milesgmsu on Jul 11, 2007 11:50 AM CDT up reply actions

You have to know what's
going on in previous eps to understand anything.  It's much better to watch it on DVD than TV because of that, or watch it with a fan that can explain some things.

by Scotter on Jul 12, 2007 3:02 PM CDT up reply actions

TT is
playing light years better this year so far!  Maybe we don't need to worry so much about our lack of a low post scorer if he can play anywhere close to this level during the season.  Reminding me of Amare Stoudemire here.

by fsubrett48 on Jul 10, 2007 7:44 PM CDT reply actions

For the 1st time, I'm seeing
how Tyrus could play SF on offense.  His ballhandling has really improved.  But it's his ability to make post entry passes that have really stood out in these two games.  Now it's up to Deng to give him somebody to enter the ball to.  Alot still depends on his jumpshot improving.  He still seems to struggle with his mechanics in catch and shoot situations, but like last year he can shoot it well off the dribble.

by Scotter on Jul 10, 2007 7:51 PM CDT reply actions

Wow!
Joe Buck just admitted that the Yankees' troubles are not because of A-Rod. That's got to be an MSM first.
Yes, of course.

Aaron Gray Jumps Ok!
Max vertical 32.5  which was better than

Josh McRobert ... 31.5
Chris Richards ...30.5  (other Florida big?)
Spencer Hawes ....29
Sammy Mejia ......31.5   (DePaul)

give Gray a chance, in comparison to

Kevin Durant ..... 33.5
Julian Wright ..... 33.5
Greg Oden ..........34

now for the great finishers at the basket

Al Thornton ....... 41
Mike Conley Jr. ....40.5
Nick Young .........40.5

by exult463 on Jul 10, 2007 9:00 PM CDT reply actions

Agreed
Give the big guy a chance.

by Jesse07 on Jul 11, 2007 8:10 AM CDT up reply actions

I missed the game tonight because of work, but
the recap makes it seem as if Tyrus really dominated.

Needless to say, since Tyrus is my favorite player, I am glad to see him succeed. However, does he really need to play 30+ minutes a night in summer league? The coaches have really left Tyrus and Thabo on the court for long stretches in the first two games. It must be part of a strategy to accelerate their development.

I just worry about injuries and fatigue.

by 1958ChiTown on Jul 10, 2007 9:50 PM CDT reply actions

P.S. How did Tyrus score?
Jumpers, drives, or just the usual dunks?

by 1958ChiTown on Jul 10, 2007 9:51 PM CDT up reply actions

A little of everything.
Hit a buzzer-beater from just inside the 3-pt line (although it wasn't smooth and pretty). Mostly close range stuff, but from outside, too.

He was really looking to pass a lot, too. There was one play that was either a straight fast break or a semi-transition, but he was coming in on the right wing and last year (if he even had the ball) would have tried to jump over everyone and probably charged or turned it over. Instead, he stopped about 7-10 ft out and fed it to Thabo crashing down the lane for a nice dunk.

Yes, of course.

hawes today
apparently played like shit, which makes me feel better that we drafted noah.  I hate it but I even do the same thing with Tyrus ( I check out how aldridge is doing. Maybe after a year or two more it will go away.

day 2 luv
John Denton (taking a break from 'Desperate Housewives'):
Thomas, the No. 4 overall pick in last year's draft, was once again clearly the best player on the floor in Chicago's 92-80 defeat of Charlotte. His quickness and newfound midrange jump shot allowed him to score 24 points. He added eight rebounds, four assists and four blocked shots.

Good Quote
In that same story there is this quote by TT at the very end:

"I'm here to play so I might as well play my best,'' said the 6-foot-9, 215-pound forward. "Me coming out here and just laying back and chilling all week that would be a waste of my time. So I'm gonna make the best of this week."

I like seeing quotes like this from our young guys.  Keep working on ur skills no matter what.

I know it's only Summer League and he's playing against a bunch of bums, but I'm not so worried about the mythical "Scoring Big Man" anymore.

Francis bought out.
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2932433

Reportedly gets $30 mil of the $33.6 he was owed over the next two years. He'll be on waivers (no one will claim him because they'd be on the hook for the contract), and an unrestricted FA in seven days.

No interest to us Bulls fan. Just passing it along.

Yes, of course.

by tyger1147 on Jul 11, 2007 11:00 AM CDT reply actions

Portland couldn't get any thing
better for Zach than a role playing big man and Francis $30 mil buyout. Thier Gm got screwed on this one. Their was no rush to trade him camp doesn't open till october and they could have gotten someone in a sign and trade then.

My money is on the Clips getting him.
