Around SBN: Dana White Announces Koscheck vs. Hendricks for UFC on FOX

Player reviews, part two

Once again, thanks to sbulls9030 for doing these:

Ben Wallace

Andres Nocioni

Chris Duhon

P.J. Brown

Tyrus Thomas (special extra link, just because)

And for you draft weirdos (affectionate term) out there, Jeff of Celticsblog has created rookiepedia. Which, as you probably can guess, is a wiki for potential NBA draftees. So if you have your own scouting reports on these guys, register and update. Judging by some early talk here, the biggest contribution will be confirming that Spencer Hawes is indeed white.

It couldn't be rookipedia?
heh...
Yi told Shane Battier he was 24 in an exhibition game before the 2006 FIBA World Championship.

Add human polygraph machine to Shane Battier's long list of talents. Can the guy be more versatile?

Tyrus
I love the fact that in that Tyrus clip, the announcers don't try to make themselves the show.  They just let the crowd noie take it out to commercial.  Thanks for reminding us of that, Matt.  Now I can look forward to next season...

I liked that too
although I'm not sure if it was his announcing talent or lack thereof that reduced Jon Barry to just giggling during that highlight

Speaking of the draft, Aaron Gray seems like
an intriguing prospect at center, especially in light of his pre-draft camp performance.

Did anyone follow him closely over the past year?

by 1958ChiTown on Jun 4, 2007 1:14 PM CDT reply actions

Intriguing as
somebody for the 2nd round?

by Scotter on Jun 4, 2007 1:19 PM CDT up reply actions

Right.
Even though he will likely be gone by 51, since he is projected late first or early second.

by 1958ChiTown on Jun 4, 2007 1:37 PM CDT up reply actions

It probably wouldn't take alot to move up from
the 2nd round to get him.  A package of 2nd rounders or a future 1st.  He makes sense as an end of roster banger that maybe develops into a backup center.  The team is going to have open roster spots so a project big with an actual chance of playing in the NBA makes some sense.

Love that
clip of TT. I hope he's working in the gym as we speak.
Who will come and who will go? Stay tuned!

I have insider
ESPN doesn't think much of him seeing as he's not in their new mock draft. Here is the Skinny on Hawes.

Hawes doesn't have the athletic upside of many of the top prospects in the draft, but his basketball skill and size should translate into a very solid NBA career. Think Vlade Divac. At this point, Hawes is looking like a legit lottery pick if he decides to stay in the draft.

Vlade Divac? I was thinking more of Will Purdue.

I don't see anywhere else to put this and it
isn't worth its own diary, but let me just say that Billy Donovan is one hell of a flake.

I can't believe he backed out of the Magic job.

F'in hilarious.
And very authentic.

Everyone  has been through THAT night at the club. The drunken hook-up was perfectly depicted.
