McHale open to listen to offers

I hate to revisit the KG story, but I read somewhere that McHale finally has said that he is willing to listen to offers for KG.  I feel that this is a big deal since he has never admitted to considering trading KG.  With all the talk about Kobe and the draft, just wondering what the market is now for KG??  It seems his value on the trade market has gone down now since it looks like he will opt out of his contract next year.

The article
This is ESPN's (Insider) coverage.  And from the FanHouse:
The sources: "several Eastern Conference GMs." My guess: The sources are actually John Paxson, Danny Ainge, and Isiah Thomas -- the three bosses who salivate most for The Ticket. Of course, Ford breaks down the possibilities for the Bulls, the Celtics, and... well, Ford realizes that the Knicks don't have crap for tradeable assets.

Kobe stays in LA
This might work for both teams

FROM LOS ANGELES & TO MINNESOTA
PF Lamar Odom ($13,524,000)
C Kwame Brown ($9,075,000)
C Andrew Bynum ($2,172,000)

FROM MINNESOTA & TO LOS ANGELES
PF Kevin Garnett ($22,000,000)

If that's what it takes to land O'Neal anyway
might as well add a little extra and try for Garnett. He's a far better player than Jermaine O'Neal.

do you
take that deal if you're the Wolves?  I wouldn't.  It's almost worse than just taking the cap room if Garnett leaves.  Bynum's not shown enough promise to think of him as anything other than a crapshoot, Kwame's obviously just cap relief and Odom is a Tim Thomas that actually shows up for practice.  Well, not that bad but you get the point.
If the Wolves are serious about trading him, they could make deals w/ far better teams.  The Suns might consider shedding Amare and Marion, which is a lot better.  The bulls might still consider Deng, Thomas and PJ.  There's gotta be something better than that.

Odom is a Tim Thomas
Woah, back it up. Odom is a point forward with size that has a decent shot, can post up, rebound, and block shots.  Tim Thomas is Tim Thomas...

Odom is still
overrated in his own right. Despite all the skills a 17.0 career PER isn't anything to write home about, and he's awful chucky (career 2.6 3PA per game) for having a career .317 3P%.

Intangibles
Please never forget that Lamar also does this.

On a completely unrelated note . . .
Lamar Odom has been suspended by the NBA several times for failing marijuana tests.  Not that that has anything to do with that video, of course.

ODOM
hahahha ive always wondered if anyone has done that before or can get away with it... then again he dribble way into the line then passed it off... TYSON CHANDLER was in the vid :D

HAHAHA
Tyrus thomas did the same thing once, not as bad though...NOT NEARLY AS BAD!

He passed the ball in bounds to noch, but while passing it in he also stepped in, (he stepped in bound before the ball left his hand) and i thought it was the stupidest mistake a basketball player could ever make, its why i began calling thomas an idiot...what should i make of odom then?

im trying hard to become the next kirk hinrich, therefore im doing nothing more than being the next chris duhon.

I think this is
becoming an art in the NBA.  Watch Brad Miller, he has it down to a science...and never gets called for it.

KG trade rummors for the past 3 seasons but it might happen this time.
