Game Thread #77: Bulls at Toronto Raptors
The perfect distraction from talking to your family today. Unless your family likes the Bulls (mine does! Or maybe they just do enough as to not talk to me, hmm...)
This is also the thread for Cleveland/Detroit. A win by the Bulls and a loss by the Cavs would really put the Cavs in a corner.
Wallace, Tyrus, and even Noc may be back. Bargnani may return for the Raptors.

GO BULLS!!!
Come on Bulls. This is a huge game.
And I am sick of hearing about how the Raptors are the "most dangerous young team in the East."
I noticed it depends on who you listen to
Luc!
glad to hear everyone is healthy
If i remember correctly, Luc and MJ retired on the same day....not sure which retirement though
usually i root for Original Six teams
lets not give the lead up now....
I really hope Tyrus isn't hurt too badly.
bulls need to stop sucking....
Bulls need to start making shots.

I didn't agree with the ejection
Ejection
You can't clothesline someone, but I agree that Peterson didn't really mean to do anything bad. Just happened that way.

Pete went to block Kirk on a break away and
The Calderon got a technical for commenting on the intial call.
wennington just made the
Tyrus really did a nice job guarding Bosh.
Nice little run for the Bulls at the end.
It's weird
Good news, obviously, if you take the early part of the 2nd into consideration, Bulls seriously outplayed them in the last part of the 2nd to take the lead. Hope they can keep it up.
BG has made
Miami is losing at home to Charlotte at the half
lucky toronto and refs are bailing us out
r the toronto fans
Bulls have played lile crap the last three minutes

The Raptors are scoring almost exclusively at
im sick of the bulls fouling every possession
hinrich and deng
The team is sleepwalking right now.
The interior players aren't really fighting for position either, so the chances of an offensive rebound are pretty low.
this is just like the denver game
UNbelievably and completely disgusting
We are giving away the focking two seed with the sh*t performance against an inferior team.
Toronto is not good, but the Bulls are making them look that way with stupid plays.
kirk has had about 3 straight shots go down
This is easily the worst loss of the entire season
miami or @ORL
Nothing was on the line in those games.
Easily the worst dumb sh*t performance of the year. Terrible, terrible, terrible defense this half.
Toronto is not a "dogshit" team
They are an emminently and utterly
They sure as sh*t aren't fifteen points better than the Bulls.
We have beaten them something like 9 times out of the last 10.
They don't pose significant match-up issues.
We are a better team.
This is just an inexcusable fuckwad performance in a huge game.
with the ORL
the miami game was an abortion all around; not to mention that we were streaking.
Furthermore, those games hold just as much importance as these games...its jsut more noticable when the playoffs are a scant two weeks away
The Orlando game was the second game of the
It's understandable to have that sort of collapse so early in the season when you are incorporating new players.
It is a lot less understandable to sleepwalk through one of the most important halves of basketball in the season when you have played together for 77 games.
Well, this sucks
Het Griffin out of the fuckign game skiles.
Put your cocksucking scorers in the game. All of them.
Man, you have a pottymouth
miami has gone on a 15-3 run
Why is Malik Allen taking fade away jumpers over
And now he fouls Bosh.
How many times are you going to leave Parker open
How many times?
Skiles should horsewhip someone after this game.
well all we need to do is win 4 in a row
comeon charlotte
Well, we had our blowout fun last week
Time to move on.
You know why we lost this game?
Rather, because in the third quarter, when we had a double digit lead, we (a) turned the ball over; and (b) committed assinine fouls that put Toronto on the line.
We may have just blown the two seed through our own sheer indolence.
Not to mention, should we hang onto the two seed, we have a decent chance of facing these Raptors in the second round.
Nice job, guys.
This loss hurt for me, basically,
I look at it like this, though... to secure the 2nd seed, we have to beat:
- Knicks
- Bobcats
- Wiz
- Nets
suck, sucky, suckier, suckiest
Note to Skiles - Please have your team practice free throws tomorrow.
Very exhausting game to watch
I think the bulls will be fine, Washington is pretty much a sure thing and the Bulls can beat the other three easily.

What's Colder than Cold?
Jeez. That third quarter was not very Appalachian State. I started screaming, "Someone make a shot!" Bulls went 5/18, even though a lot of them were good looks. The low-point, if you could pick one, was when Duhon bricked two free throws. The whole team went ice cold and couldn't hit, and the defense did not pick up the slack on the other end. Toronto played like they had more riding on this game. I'm not sure they did, but that's sure how it looked.
But hey, Bobcats win, Cavs lose. So it's not such a bad day. We just need Philly to come back in the second half now. The big question is, are we sure we want to face Toronto in the playoffs instead of Miami?
If the Bulls can win the last four, they get 50 wins, and 31-10 at home. I think that will happen. This team has generally played extremely well after bad losses, and we get the Knicks in town on Tuesday (after they host the Pistons tomorrow). That sets up for a strong finish. Win the rest and #2 is ours. I don't think Cleveland's gonna lose either, so the team has to shake this one off and win the rest.

I am not really sure that Miami losing was good
It's only good if we hold onto the two seed.
If we fall to fifth, Miami's loss is terrible for us.
The Bulls have to win the #2 seed

Not so bad...
> Heat lose, Cavs lose, Sixers win, Bobcats win, Lakers lose (I want Kobe out of the playoffs), and at the very least Toronto goes 2 full games ahead of the Heat for the #3 seed.
