Around SBN: Steve McNair Found Shot to Death

Podcasting: fulfilling sports nerds dreams since 2005

SBNation has a fledgling (meaning: take it easy on them) podcast of which I was an honored guest on Sunday night. I was on with Tom from SactownRoyalty, with me talking East and him talking West playoffs.

Go here for the streaming, and here for a full download. The NBA talk starts around the 30 minute mark. The hosts tried to bait me into talking about the Raptors, but I refused, haHA!

So listen to that while you root for the Nets, TWolves, Blazers, and Kings tonight.

PaxJax,
how does it feel to be mentioned for voting on other teams' blogs?
Once, when having sex in a tractor trailer, some of Andre the Giants' sperm got into the engine. We now know that tractor as Optimus Prime.

Nets - Knicks update #2
Nets up 11 at the half and Eddy Curry has a strained hamstring and is doubtful for the second half.

Seriously
but he'll have two days to rest, but why would the risk re-injuring their "franchise" player in a meaningless game?

Who should we be rooting for
when the Nets play Orlando? Is it possible Orlando can move up to the 7th spot and is it likely?

just looking up some standings goods
I guess if Orlando wins out and Washington loses out, Orlando would be seventh...that's if NJ passes up Washington.

Not so fast my friend
if Washington loses out and Orlando wins out, I think they would not only have identical overal records, but conference and division records, too.  And they would split the season series 2-2.

But
Orlando would be 9-7 in their division and Washington would be 8-8. Orlando would pass them up. Orlando's next two game's are division games against the Heat and Wizards. They're 7-7 right now. Wouldn't that make them 9-7? And Washington is at 8-7 right now in their division with only one division game left to be played . . . Orlando. If Orlando won, Washington would be at 8-8. Therefor, Orlando would pass them up.

you're right
I guess if Orlando wins out and the Wiz lose out Orlando passes them, too.  Looks like we need Miami to be Orlando on the last night.  I'm not holding my breath.

Tonight
Is looking good. The Knicks lost. The Heat lost. James Posey spraigned his wrist and shoulder. AWESOME!

you know
I can never feel bad for James Posey.

I hope the Heat and Cavs have a tough, long series.
