Final PRESEASON Game thread: Bulls vs. Bucks

Starting lineup, heavy minutes, Deng and Gordon (supposedly)...it'll almost feel real.

Lets hope Tyrus doesn't pass the ball right into Skiles' nuts. Besides that I can't see how he would relinquish the starting job based on a preseason game, but who knows what to think anymore.

Oh Stacey King
still 9 minutes left in the second and I've heard 2 "Sef-O-Losha's" and a KYP - Know Your Personel

It's gonna be a long season with this guy

I laugh every time I hear him say one
of the things everyone on here is always complaining about.

I'm sure it will get really old at some point, but I'm just so happy to have the games this year!

"They had me do a psychology test and I asked Coach Skiles if that affected his coaching. He laughed and said, `No way.'" (Joakim Noah)

I get
a kick out of Stacey. His little bit on what kind of games Red plays made me giggle.

Don't sleep on the King!
I'm thrilled, now I can get a jersey with my name on the back!

The Duhon/Hinrich
Line up sucks!

Duhon is just dribbling forever just to end up passing it to Ben Wallace or taking a dumb shot

by Option27 on Oct 25, 2007 8:31 PM CDT reply actions

Granted,
I'm loopy from studying all day, no sunlight, and the fumes from the exterminator, but the thought of "Tyrus passing the ball right into Skiles nuts" (see above) keeps cracking me up.

by Freethefro on Oct 25, 2007 8:31 PM CDT reply actions

FUCK!!!!!!
Body goes down!

This could evntually mean seeing Gray in the starting line up in the opener.

Please don't let it be serious!

Ben W rolls his ankle?
Matt's worst (or second worst) nightmare may come true - Aaron Gray starting at the beginning of the season.

by KT on Oct 25, 2007 8:40 PM CDT reply actions

Hope BW
will be ok. He's got six day before opening day.

Duhon was in 20 seconds before he had his first foul. He irritates the hell out of me.

My off-season disappointment
is Duhon still being a Bull.

Ben G is on the radio right now, boy, he is so soft-spoken.

by KT on Oct 25, 2007 8:48 PM CDT up reply actions

If Ben rolled it,
I think we're going to get a heavy does of the veteran presence of Joe Smith come opening night.  No way Skiles sticks two youngbloods out there in the same frontcourt.

Damn!
What's with these ankles?

wow
Big Ben - ankle
Tyrus - foot
Noah - ankle
Skiles - short

damn!

Neil just said
The Body's ankle injury doesn't appear serious.  Let's hope that's right.

by KT on Oct 25, 2007 9:47 PM CDT up reply actions

What are
the chances of three of our big men getting ankle/foot injuries in one game? Unreal! I certainly hope none are serious and they are all ready to play next week.

all came up negative
They just said on Sportsnet that all three xrays came up negative. With five days rest it doesn't look too bad.

It does seem like everyone here will have to work on their karma though.  All this drama about the big men knocked three of them out tonight. :)

by cranscape on Oct 25, 2007 10:51 PM CDT up reply actions

Other than the injuries
I was rather pleased.  I'm going to give Skiles a pass on playing Duhon, Hinrich, and Thabo together (which is a double no no) since Noc was out. Otherwise that actually looked like an NBA rotation strategy in the 1st half.

It's amazing how far Deng and Gordon have since their rookie year.  They move so well off the ball.

I'm hoping that Duhon being out there with the last four guys on the roster and Thabo on the bench is indicative of their place in the guard rotation.  But that's probably just wishful thinking.

Why hate Baaastan?
Is it cause of the way they say Caarrr instead of car?

by AngryAsianAce on Oct 25, 2007 11:32 PM CDT up reply actions

no not because of their accent.
I just get sick of ESPN always talking about the New England area teams. It also does not help that at my high school there are so many front running new england fans it pisses me off. I live in Florida and there are more Red Sox fans at my school than any other place that I know. It all started when they won in 2004.

Now suddenly they are all Celtic fans because they have "The Big 3 that are going to destroy everyone in the East". I hope the Bulls shut them up.

...And here I am, transformed and hating Massachusetts. Funny how it works out down there.

Dude!
I freakin hate how the media jumped on the Celtics band wagon.

From my perspective I think this year the Celtics will be an average or a little bit above average team. I mean the team has absolutely no depth at all and by the time the playoffs go around I don't know if those aging stars of theirs will have much left in their tank.

Who knows though, maybe those trash players like Posey and Rush will manage to be useful for more than a ONE game lol.

Ahhhh
Another preseason scrimmage, where we all look for meaning, production, or direction. Bulls gain a W, but that's about it.
